Which Sequels Do You Think Will Do Good?

I disagree that either film will "suck", its just that these aren't actually going to be soul searching films are they?

From what reports that i have heard, JP3 is going to rock, but just wont have the shock factor of the first, which was indeed the problem with JP2. I think this is maybe why a new dino has been introduced - the Spinosaurus.
Remember, this is the summer season coming up, and people mostly expect a special effects extravaganza. Not all the time of course, but this is what big summer movies are all about.
The Mummy was good for what it was, and the second will be good for what it may be, but is definately not meant to be a great film in the classical sense.
Let's not take them too seriously and wait until we see what sleeper hits will be around during the summer and toward christmas. I cannot wait!

I'm not really looking forward to any of hte sequels this summer.

The ones in the pipeline that I think have the most promise:

Matrix II and III (hands down the sequels I'm looking forward to the most)

Episode II and III (although in my gut I feel like Lucas has lost the magic)

MIB II
X-Men II
Batman: Year One

Also looking forward to the Crouching Tiger prequel.

The Matrix 2 and 3 will do well purely for the fact that it now has such a huge fanbase whether the films r shit or not!
