movie adaption of the video game Max Payne

with the Resident Evil flick coming out and the announcement of a state of emergency movie over at New Line i would like to see a movie adapted from Max Payne. the game has all the perfect elements for a dark,gritty action thriller. all the action is john woo style and it even uses bullet time. what are some other thoughts about this?

theyre planning an adaption, but isnt going anywhere

They could work a bit around the idea of the game. You know, the guy around the middle of the game discover that he is, in fact, a character in a game. They could do something like that in the movie as I'm sure they will... But hey I never have any big hopes for movies adapted from video games. They usually sucks.
