Does any1 have ANYTHING to say about Shanghai Noon?
I live in UK and really want to know what peeps think of it.

kaku-it has some good moments but overall it is bad and is about one tenth as good as rush hour

Kaku, I am a fan of Jackie Chan and martial arts in general. So while I may appear biased towards this movie because of Jackie Chan, I can say perhaps, but not extremely so. I found Chan's Rush Hour to be a complete dissapointment. Not so with Shanghai Noon. Combining martial arts with comedy is no easy task. I think tihs movie was able to blend the two together well. while the movie is not necessarily hard on the brain (read somewaht simplistic), it does provide for some great entertainment. One thing I found disappointing were Chan's outtakes at the end of the movie. It just isn't up to the quality of previous movies.

Personally, I enjoyed it, but on the whole it is forgettable. If you never get to see, don't stay up at night worrying.

If anything saves the movie, it's Owen Wilsons performance. Its so out-of-place, yet purposely so. (Imagine a 1990s psychiatrist trapped in a 1890s cowboy).
Gives the movie a little relevance for to our time.

Of course, Jackie is Jackie. Lucy Liu is great as usual. And its not as cliche as it could have been.

I really wanted to say something uniqe about this movie, but everybody said all there is to know about this film. I admit I've never seen Rush Hour, (you all can pick up your jaws from the floor) but this movie was exciting. Chan never dissapoints...who here can name 1 Chan film (including the Japanese ones) that was crappy? Hmmmm...?
