X - men II : villains

Does anybody know who will be the next villain in the X-men sequel ? I don't hope it will be Magneto again.He has cool powers but he is not that frightening.
Apacolypse would make an awesome bad guy !
I also heard rumours there will be 3 new X-men : Beast,Gambit and Jubilee.

The Sentinels will be next villians.From my sources Beast will be in X-men 2 but Gambit not.I don't know about Jubilee.

The last I heard was that they were doing the storyline where somebody develops the virus that is lethal only to mutants, and the X-Men have to stop it before it spreads. God I hope they have the Sentinels, otherwise it sounds like a bunch of boring crap.

I've heard both yay and nay on Gambit (depends on the source).

Personally, I wouldn't mind them doing one of the storylines where Magneto actually has to lead the X-men (Xavier is incapacitated - they did it in the comics) I'm not knocking Patrick Stewart, I think he's great, but an uneasy alliance like that could make for an excellent movie.

That's not about villains but What do you think will happen in X-Men II ? Here;s what I think: Mystique will free Magneto and the will start making more Mutants and try to take over the world and etc...,, you know

I think Brian Singer said something about wanting Magneto back as a bad guy.

I also heard about the Sentinels and i think i even heard about..Apocalypse!!! That would be excellent!
About the X-Men Beast will be in it for sure coz he wasnt in the first one and he is Singers favorite character. Gambit wont be in it coz he resembles Wolverine so much.
Thats all i heard.

And I'm not really familiar with either character, but I think

Jubilee shoots sparks from her fingers,

Gambit charges the cards with energy, then throws them (effectively another energy blast).

Aren't both of those pretty similar to the power that Cyclops already has? (only without the cool limitation of not being able to control the blasts?

My vote would be for the Beast, then Nightcrawler, Colossus and Iceman.

As far as villians...Apocalypse would be a cool villian. Personally, I'd like to see the White Queen. I also liked...I don't remember what they were called, but there was a race of mutants living in the sewers. I wish they would figure out a way to do the Dark Phoenix storyline. Sentinels also rock.

I just hope they don't end up going with Arcade (they discussed him at one point). Lame, lame, lame supervillian.

It will also be interesting to see how the effects crew handle Beast. I can fore-see certain comparisons between him and the Hulk arising in the near future when Ang Lee releases his film.
Although different in colour they are basically the same thing, although Beast has a hairy body.
I doubt that this will be the case, cause Ang Lee promises an amazing super hero, but i just forsee them being quite the same.


As for more villains, i am not emmersed in the X Men world as some are, so i dont really know of any more.

I'd love to see Gambit in it! I never read much of the comics but when i used to watch the cartoon I really liked the Gambit/Rogue thing, it'd be nice for Bobby to have some competition from a loveable rogue, IMHO.

The Sentinels are in or so I'm told
Gambit and Jubilee are in.
I forget who said it first, someone on this topic who said the plot would involve a virus which I'm told is true.
Beast has been left out because Gambit and Jubilee are fresher characters and they can be used to bring more life into the script.

Gambit should be in X-Men, and he should be played by James Marsters.

James' natural hair is Gambit-esque and he does the billowing coat thing kind of well.

I agree with Bartleby Gambit should be in it and James MArsters would be a great choice. But the last time I heard, he was not in it. Jubile is going to be in it (only because her brief role was cut from the original) and Beast was definetly in. Most of this I have heard from Joey Baloney, and I also think they are intentionally throwing out a lot of rumors so that the end result will be a suprise.

In the comics Xavier had a son named David his powers were like beyond imagination, that would be pretty cool for a story kind of thing...ya or Omega Red or lets skip to the future and brign back Cyclops and Jean's son back to this time, Cable.
