Ok, I watched Heist Recently, and in the movie, i noticed another movie poster in the back ground...House on Hounted Hill, there are like 7 or 8 of them in the first heist sequence they go by quick, but i cought them with my movie eye. Has anyone else ever noticed something like this in a movie, you know an advertisment for some other film in the background??

I just recently watched the evil dead series and i noticed a few things.
1. In the evil dead 1 in the basement where ash and scott first find the tape player there is a ripped up poster of "The Hills Have Eyes" by Wes Craven.
2. In the Evil Dead 2 when ash is in the basement looking for the book of the dead there is Freddy Krueger's glove hanging on the door frame.
Also I was watching the Fisher King and I noticed that when Jeff Bridges is in the back of his video store there are posters of Brazil visible behind him

There's others, but the first ones that I recall are Days of Thunder and Funny About Love posters seen in Soapdish when Sally and Whoopi are walking down the street.
And all three are Paramount movies. Coincidence??? Hmm...

Oh, and there's a big ol' Short Cuts one-sheet in a video store window near the beginning of Kids.

In "Dirty Harry", during the first shootout with the badasses, Clint Estwood turns a corner and you can clearly see a marquee advertising "Play Misty For Me", which he had directed himself a couple of years before.

If any one is familiar with Stanley Kubrick you might know that many filmakers like to pay tribute to him in their movies. For example...
Raising Arizona- P.O.E. and O.P.E. are visible in the bathroom that John Goodman and his Buddy are in. Reference to Dr. Strangelove.
Fargo & Big Lewbowski- In both of these movies the term "in and out" is used. In Fargo Steve Buchemi say "the good ol' in and out". Reference to Clockwork Orange
Maverick- During a bank robbery One of the robbers is Danny Glover. For a minute he seems to recognize Mel Gibson from Lethal Weapon and even says "I'm getting to old for this shit!"
Jay and Silent Bob- I caught this but a few of my friends didn't. When Jay and Silent Bob are on the film set and running from the cops a gang of five guys wearing matching black suits and sunglasses are walking along in the backround. They are in the same formation as the gang from resevoir dogs and one of them is wearing a shirt soaked with blood!
That's all I can think of for now. I'll be back with more later...
