In all of Wes' movies he has a scene that shows a total disrespect for the law.
Bottle Rocket - Most of the movie, but namely the scene where they are blasting fireworks from the moving car.
Rushmore - The Blume/Fischer war sequence
The Royal Tenenabaums - Royal's day out with his grandkids.
In all his movies there are also scenes with people running, giving authority a hard time, general rule breaking, and other things.
I am totally saying that Anderson's big trademark is anarchy, or chaos, so to speak. In the liner notes for Rushmore he talks about using British invasion music to describe the young anger felt by his lead character. Punk rock -- all of his movies use at least one song, and that music is the essence of anarchy. And I mean not like anarchy in a political sense, but like how street kids use it. I think that means more. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif
Any thoughts?
