Ok, so why will HBO show The Sopranos letterboxed, but never any movies? And now that I have digital cable I've got like a zillion HBOs: HBO, HBO Plus, HBO Signature, HBO Family, HBO Comedy, HBO Zone, HBO Latino...HBO Latino!!! Why can't they offer HBO Widescreen???
And don't get me started on Showtime and Starz. The Chris Isaak Show is always on, but good luck finding Queer as Folk without a TV Guide. And ain't Black Starz a wee bit racist? And can't they show anything better than Class Act?
One would assume that since I now have thirty-six premium movie channels I'd have an overwhelming selection of quality films. But no, the same movies are shown over and over. How many times could a rational person watch See Spot Run? Why is Dirty Dancing still on pay television? While it's cool to see a post-pubescent Cynthia Nixon in The Manhattan Project, does that movie really need to be seen every other day this month?
I don't know where I'm going with all of this. I just needed to vent, and See Spot Run has made me temporarily retarded. Sorry.
