There was a new car commercial that I thought was pretty cool before Spiderman. I think it was for the Matrix but I can't remember what car company makes the Matrix...

My theater now shows a ton of commercials before the trailers now. It's called the "Pre show countdown" and starts maybe about 5 minutes before the previews.

A lot of commercials get booed depending on the crowd but at the same time these commercials tend to have really kick ass music and visuals so they're at least somewhat entertaining.

Myself I'm not opposed to them since they start before the movie is scheduled to start. What this does is make more people aware that the previews are about to start so they hurry up and find their seats. It's also honestly sometimes more fun than listening to the music they play on the loudspeaker.

If having those commercials there will keep the ticket and concession prices from going up even more than they already have I'm totally ok with them.

Yea I'm sure they will be happy with the revenue from commercials and keep the prices down http://www.joblo.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif If anything it will make them even more greedy.

On top of that, is it me or are there a lot more previews these days?

I used to see Ally Mcbeal commercials. Now they have this thing about friendship. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

They usually show the matrix car commericial along with a honda commercial and a few others, but as far as showing too many previews, whats so wrong with that,i love seeing previews, infact their one of the things i look forward to in going to a theater.

I enjoy previews as well. Just not when I have to sit through more than 10mins of it.

We are not talking about previews those are cool I like that, what we are talking about is comercials, like for cars, websites, drinks. That is what is annoying, previews = good commercials = bad.

I was aware of that. Previews are good. But as the saying goes too much of anything sucks.

No kidding! All throughout November-December at one of the theatres I regularly visit, they played this commercial...THREE TIMES in a row! For friggin' body fragrance! Please, people.

NOTE: Cinemas do not make much, if any, money by actually screening movies. This is why concessions are highly priced (and why, despite this I always buy a drink) and why there are adverts before the trailers.

I really can't stand comercials. The only good thing about them is that they give you sometime to go to the bathroom.
