When I was a kid I saw this movie on TV in which part of the story revolved around two kids who found a well in the middle of the woods that had the ghost of a boy at the bottom of it. I don't remember much, but I think there were 2-3 kids, maybe brothers and sisters, and they would talk to the kid in the well, but then later on found out he died years ago.
It's in the vein of "Watcher in the Woods" and feels like that movie - but it's not that one. I'll probably never find it - it's been like 15 years.
As an aside, when I was a kid I also saw this movie once where there was a guy who lived in a house that appeared to be possessed - and there was an incessant gonging that went on every night and he couldn't figure out where it was from.
Years later I happened to rent "The Changeling" with George C. Scott and realized that was the movie. The Changeling is a pretty awesome movie, scary too.
