A bunch of my friends have recommended this movie to me. Has anyone seen it, and if so, how was it, and what was it about?

Dude you must live in a Labyrinth if you haven't heard about this movie.

It is a Jim Henson production so it is muppet filled, it stars David Bowie and Jennifer Conelly before she sprouted.
It is a good movie, a bit on the kiddy side but that is to be expected, lots of singing and dancing.
Bowie is the Goblin King and he steals the girls baby brother and she goes to find him and must navigate the Labyrinth to save him, fun and laughter ensue.
It does have it's dramatic moments but it is not as dark as the Dark Crystal.
I would recommend it, but do not expect an adult flick but a fun muppet adventure with singing and other crazyness.
Ya know the more I think about it the more I remember that this movie kicked some major butt. I up may assesmemt from recommend to must see.
Bog of Stench! Ya buddy!

Wow, this movie brings up a lot of great memories of my childhood. This was definitely one of my favorites growing up. Also, Dark Crystal was entertaining too.

Good movie. I loved this when I was a kid. I recently watched it again and wasn't the biggest fan...however, I still enjoyed watching it. It's just full of happiness mixed with some crazy crap.

This movie is like taking acid and going through the liner notes of a Styx album.
Great flick!

Great quote, Irene! They should use that as a blurb on the cover of the DVD. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

"...Sarah, go back to your room...Play with your toys and your costumes...Forget about the baby..."
You have to watch Labyrinth just to witness Bowie attempting to fade out his own bloody voice! Truly priceless!
"...Turn back Sarah..."

I saw this movie for the first time only a few weeks ago (at the insisting of my gf, who loves the movie), and I've watched it many times since then. It's now one of my favorites (it's on my Top 100, anyway). Very fun movie, and good to watch over and over. 8/10.
Jennifer Connelly was great too. So talented even at such a young age...

You remind me of the babe....
What Babe?
The Babe with the power
What power?
The Power of Voodoo
Whodo?
You do...
I do what?
You remind me of the babe
I saw my babe (let the the leather pants wearing antics begin........)
You HAVE to see this movie! I loved it! When I was little I would see it over and over and over and I knew EVERY line!
Oh I forgot, I LOVE the song the orange skinny puppets sang! I still here it sometimes!
