I have just recently seen the previews for this movie.
Looks to me like it should be fairly interesting.
I have only seen the first one of the series
but I know this is a remake (Revision,Retelling, Etc.) Since Tim Burton is directing this, I see it as being very dark and gothic. Probably just gonna be another Popcorn Flick...
What do you Think?

Dude I am totally looking forward to this movie!
Wahlberg is one of my favourite actors! As is Tim Roth!
Costumes look good!
Im anticipating a great ending 2, its meant 2 b mindblowing.
I am very much looking forward to this film, and always welcome a new piece of art by genius Tim Burton, but, however, i am dismayed at the two trailers thus far.
There just isn't any great imagery, exciting action, a cohesive look at the story or any particularly awe-inspiring shots, but, they aren't going to show all their cards on trailers in a film that only has 250 effects shots, but it's still getting to me a little bit.
The effects in the second trailer look simply amazing, the make-up astonishing (apart from Michael Clarke Duncan's character, who seems to look a little fake) and the acting looks under mediochre. I would never have chosen Mark Whalberg, he just looks wrong in his role, althoug, i'm willing to give the guy a chance.
Overall, i'm expecting the most fulfilling film of the summer from what has been a crap year so far.
Stuff....Heston is in it, but as an ape.
P.S - NRA - What's that?

I can't wait for this movie. The only beef I have with it is that Burton changed the original story. Drastic changes to remake can sink it (as can making too few changes). It's a fine line, but I'm fairly confident that Burton can handle it /ubb/smile.gif.
Why would he keep the same story? That would be entirely strange. I think he has done well to go down a different route with the franchise, but i would have liked to see it darker...set around snow (yes, a token Tim Burton image), icy hills etc, not in a desert, it looks plain and boring.
Oh well....

On the topic, I can't wait for this movie. I hope it's as good as it looks, and it'll be interesting to hear how Elfman composes for it.

I'm looking forward to PotA, especially to see how Tim Burton put his spin on things. I don't think that the ads really do the film justice. I'm also waiting to see if any of the major fast food places do tie-ins (I can just picture an ad featuring an ape eating a hamburger and then the voice-over announcing "Get your Planet of the Apes Monkey Meal now at Mega-Burger!")

It's the number one movie that I want to see. I love Tim Burton and most of the actors are solid to very good. It's also the only popcorn movie that looks like fun.

I would rather get a scorpion enema than go and watch this movie. I've got a burning hatred for Marky Mark, and I don't think even Tim Burton could save this film. I saw the trailer, and all I saw was a bunch of half-assed shots of monkeys running and jumping around all over the place. I don't doubt that this movie will make alot of money, but I'm almost sure it will be forgotten a month after it's released. I really liked the Charlton Heston one though.

The previews didn't seem to show a lot of sincerity, Whalberg made myself a fan of his instantly after viewing Basketball Diaries (from a black humor point of view, just think of the mugging of the ol' lady), but he doesn't seem to fit the part.
All that comes to mind is another pure action movie--jungle chases, ape/human fight scenes, and sub-par romance scenes--without support to the engaging plot I would expect from Tim Burton.
