Has anyone BESIDES the people at this site ever totally ruin a movie for you? Try to top my story:

Back when Sixth Sense was still in theaters,in fact the day after it opened,I turned on my radio for my favevorite morning show and guess what? They were talking about Sixth Sense. Then this totally blows my mind they just gave away the ending! They even gave you the 'clues' that appear all through the movie that hinted to the ending.

Bruce Willis' character is a ghost. He never changes his clothes. The boy is the only one who ever talks to him.

And they're broadcasting it for all to hear!
Then they had people call in and talk about the ending and how surprised they were! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/mad.gif

Top THAT if you can.

I was watching this saturday morning football show on sky about half a year back and luckily I'd already seen The Sixth Sense, but my dad hadn't, anyway...

They have this game where you guess the name of a footy bloke by the clues coming out of a locker, and then this guy in a vest comes out and someother guy chases after him, Tim Lovejoy (the presenter) asks the second guy what he's doing and he says that he's trying to kill him because he's a ghost. Oh how we all laughed, except my dad who cried...

I can't top that but I'll see what I can do.

Recently Twin Peaks was aired here again, the first time I missed it since I was too young. Anyway, this time I really got into it, and liked it and stuff. But, about 10 episodes in, there was this discussion on the radio about it, and some asshole calls in and without any warnings, not only does she give away the killer's identity, but spoils pretty much everything there is to spoil about it. I was pretty pissed off, turned off the radio and didn't hear quite everything she said, but I was rather pissed off at the time.

Like arto, Laura Palmer's killer was spoiled to me...in the form of a board game. I was playing this TV Guide game, and one of the questions was "Who killed Laura Palmer?". I'll be damned if I wasn't the slightest bit angry....

Funny, personally I blame shymalan himself for spoiling the end of his own movie...by making it obscenely obvious where he was going for most of the film. Technically, it was very interesting; thematically and script-wise, it was predicable tripe. A film has to have more going for it than a surprise ending in order for me to truly appreciate it, and when it doesn't even do a decent job of surprising me (and i'm of slightly above average intelligence), what does it have? NOtmuch.

Gotta agree there, lol.

In my local paper, when they were talking about Ghost World, they stated "at the "fade-out many things are left unclear", Ive read the comic book (which is the GREATEST!) and its kinda vague, but is it me or should you never talk about the fade out in a review, you can comment on how you liked the ending but i felt this gave away too much. or maybe im too picky.

For all you Roger Ebert-haters, it was he and he alone who didnt give away Nich Stahl's death in In The Bedroom because he felt it was an important plot point that shouldnt be revealed, thats mighty considerate if ya ask me.

Forgive my intrusion...but didn't you just spoil In The Bedroom for me? I have not seen it, therefore didn't know that Nick Stahl died. Guess I don't have to now.

Let me get this straight.

None of you knew the premise of In The Bedroom at all?

Before I ever saw it I KNEW Stahl was gonna bite it! I just thought it was THAT obvious.

I haven't heard or read anything about it, till that post. And you really needn't have put your spoiler warning, as that previous poster had already done the job.

Well I was just trying to be polite.

But just to make you feel better, knowing that Nick's character dies isn't gonna kill the flick for ya. It's a catalyst for a lot of the real meat of the movie to be brought forth. Like I said I knew that was gonna happen and it didn't kill the movie for me.

Cool. And I wasn't bitching about the spoiler warning from you. Just ironic. And I probably will see the movie at some point. Thanks.

Some great irony here:

SPOILER FOR ALIEN 3
.

When it first came out someone told me that Ripley dies at the end of the movie. I went into an almost catatonic shock and refused to believe such sacrilege!

Years later I finally watched the film and thanks to the way the ending was shot, I could accept Ripley's death.......... which is kinda why I REALLY hate Alien Resurrection........

Now the irony part is that last night, I accidentally gave away the ending to Alien 3 without a spoiler warning, but it was 3am so hopefully I didn't kill it for anyone:D

Joel Coen was saying he didn't like movie such as Daner In The Dark, then added that the only good part was when Bjork beat that guy to death

That seemed really funny to me.

Well, it just means that I hated Magnolia with a passion. I think he spoiled it by filming it. I wasted three hours on that POS.;)

well, there has been a couple, but one really pissed me off, and i really wanted to kick the person who ruined it.

well, i useto work in a theatre when bridget jones' diary came out. and when we would go to clean theatres, sometimes we could sneak in and watch the last ten minutes of a movie before we had to clean it if we didn't have anything to do. well, i WOULD NOT go into bridget jones' diary because i didn't want to know who she ended up with. it was a while before i saw the movie, maybe a month, and i was successful in keeping it a secret from myself. my friends would go in and watch, and i would stay outside and do other things...just so when i saw the movie it was a surprise. then, one day, i was exiting the theatres, and bridget jones came out. my two friends went in to watch the last few minutes, and i stood there alone, exiting. anyways, as i exited, these two lame-o jerko loud mouth idiot ladies were like "i knew hugh grant was lying the whole time" i was SOOO MAD because i worked hard not to find out.....well, when i was done exiting, i went into the theatres and just yelled at my friends, telling them how pissed off i was. AHHHH, i wanted to kick those ladies so hard....but i couldn't...i was at work!
