Pootie Tang 2! I loved the first one, so when is this one coming out?

I would seriously doubt there will be a Pootie Tang 2. Not only did the first movie not get much of a release, it made no money. Not to mention that the writer-director, comedian Louis CK, has griped about how the studio took the movie away from him, re-cut it in the editing room, added a bunch of narration and stock footage, and the movie ended up being only about 80 percent what he had intended. After all that, they didn't even give him a free screening of HIS OWN MOVIE. The first time he saw it was when he paid 8 bucks and saw it at the movie theater the day it came out. Unless they pay Louis CK a lot of money to make a second Pootie Tang movie, the way that he wants to make it, I don't foresee this happening.

Perhaps since it was referred to in SCARY MOVIE 3, enough people saw it that they might be able to make money off a sequel.
