Have you ever seen a movie being filmed ?

I saw one in the town of Selkirk, Manitoba[my grandmother lives there]. It was a very low budget film called Stormchaser. But it was cool seeing the movie sets.

I was in Halifax last year and saw them filming a little bit of K-19: The Widowmaker on the harbour. Interesting to see the cameras and all of the technical things.

They filmed K-19 here in Manitoba too.

One time, they filmed a commerical at a local parking ramp, and I passed right by. I have no idea what they were trying to sell though.

I was in LA on vacation when I was younger and I went on a tour thingy of the Universal Studios backlot or whatever it was and I witnessed filming for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Sadly, I didn't see any Keanu (not that I knew who he was back then). And another time I was in Jamaica and I drove by the set of a James Bond movie. That was cool.

When I lived in Philly much of The Sixth Sense was smack dab in the middle of my nabe (off South Street). Trailers, cables and movie people, oh my! Also, you can see my old apartment (at 10th and Bainbridge) during the Halloween costume party in Philadelphia. And, not as biggie a deal, but Will Smith filmed one of his videos on my block.

But, hey, I live in NYC now, and there's always something going on besides Woody Allen and Sex and the City...

Well when I was an extra for Vanilla Sky I got to see some of it being made,duh!There was also another film being made when my mom and I were walking down the NYC streets.They do some films in Ottawa,so sometimes I can get a peak.

I've seen Elizabeth Shue dance through a fountain in L.A. Poor thing it was FREEZING that day and I know the water was NOT heated either. Brrr.... I think the movie was "Molly" ??

I also saw and walked through the scene while Bruce Willis and Rob Reiner were doing a scene from "The Story of Us."

I just barely missed seeing Nicolas Cage shooting a scene from Face/Off but people I worked with at the time got to talk to him and said he was really really nice.

I've also been by tons of trailers and equipment for various movies as things are being set up for. In fact I saw them setting up equipment to film part of Fight Club in downtown L.A. Same fountain that Elizabeth Shue was dancing in. That fountain is all over the place in movies...
