I LOVED this movie! The funny thing is, I (sadly) know plenty of people like the characters! The awful preppy's, especially that woman, the lesbians, and Mr. Pine Nut. I understand that Jamie Lee Curtis's hubby directed it. Cookie Googerman rocked! I wanted to feel bad for her hubby, but I couldn't stop from laughing! I still can't believe she was the Mom in the Home Alone movies! I give it 10/10.

ifyou loved Best In SHOw,then I recommend seeing This Is Spinal Tap (the SE dvd if possible) and Waiting for Guffman.

the pine nuts, the starbucks yuppies, and fred ward's brashannouncer alone makethis mvie great.

I dunno, I didn't find Best in Show funny at all. I think there was one joke I chuckled at, and that's about it.

Mabye it is just one of those movies that you either love or hate. I loved it, loved the mock documentary feel of it, and the parody all togather. Aside from Cookie, my other favorites were the gay guys. What a hoot they were! I can watch it over and ovr again, and still find something to crack up over.

I really enjoyed this movie. Me and my friends were laughing our asses off throughout the film. I love the part where Parker Posey looses busy bee, and her husband has a nervous breakdown and flips out on her. That is pure genious!

I loved this flick. The most amazing thing about is that almost all of it is improved, just like with Spinal Tap and Waiting for Guffman(which I haven't had the pleasure of seeing yet). Between this and the American Pie movies, I've become a huge fan of Eugene Levy. He is so freaking funny. The yuppie couple is also great. The announcer also had some classic one liners througout the movie.

Buck Laughlin: I went to one of those obedience places once... it was all going well until they spilled hot candle wax on my private parts.

Buck Laughlin : Doctor, question that's always bothered me and a lot of people: Mayflower, combined with Philadelphia -- a no-brainer, right? Cause this is where the Mayflower landed. Not so. It turns out Columbus actually set foot somewhere down in the West Indies. Little known fact.

Buck Laughlin: Now tell me, which one of these dogs would you want to have as your wide receiver on your football team?

I like this movie, gave it a 7/10. Not worthy of a 10/10 IMO, and not as funny as I thought it would be, but still quite funny and enjoyable.

Jennifer Coolidge: "Sometimes we could just talk...or not talk...for hours..." http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Filmfreak said it best with Busy Bee! Oh man! Was that the best or what? I loved seeing her come unglued. So, I might be the only one who thinks this is a 10/10, but to hell with it, I think it is! BTW, is it out on DVD yet? If so, are there any ectras?

OMG!!

You guys, I'm obsessed with The Christopher Guest Troupe...

I have Tap on DVD, Waiting for Guffman on VHS, and Best in Show on DVD also.

YES!!
There are lots of extras - you must see!!!

Deleted scenes, including an alternate ending with Gerry and Cookie Fleck that had me literally on the floor with laughter.

Also, a commentary with Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy discussing the film.

I LOVE all the characters, but my faves are of course, the Flecks, and Stephen and Scott, the gay men.

I also did love Jennifer Coolidge's brilliant Sheri Ann Cabot.

It's top notch all the way!!!!

A few of my favorite quotes...

* Buck Laughlin: "You know... that'd be a pretty good way to judge a woman. Have her run towards you, then run away...

Of course, I'm more used to seeing them run away than running towards me..."

* Buck - " Am I nuts or... there's something wrong with that guys feet!"

* Scott Donlon in the deli - "Could you do me a favor? Could you get one of those pepperoni sticks out? I just wanna hold it."

* Scott - "I was on base in sort of an auxilliary position... it's hard to describe."

Stephen - " and he can describe ANY position!"

I could go on and on, but I won't.
LOVE THIS MOVIE.

If you haven't seen Waiting for Guffman, you must RUN out and rent it today!!

I think it's even funnier than Best in Show.

It was very good. Probably an 8/10. And, if you like Eugene Levy, try to find some old SCTV stuff.

Buck Laughlin: Tell me, do you know the difference between a rectal thermometer and a tongue depressor?
Nurse: Uh, no.
Buck Laughlin: Remind me never to come to you for a physical!
