FOR ANYONE WHO DOUBTS HIS PERFORMANCE IN MOVIES, SEE MULTI-FACIAL! he directed, produced, wrote and starred in this movie! even though it's a little creepy, since it was filmed in the early 90's and throughout the whole movie, he's in a wifebeater which i think is gay, it shows his true colors!

He may not be gay but his acting really does suck. He has two emotions that he can barely pull off (angry and mildly angry). Yes he might have a voice the ladies love but that doesnt seem to help his dialogue much. Then again it doesnt matter because as long as you put him in a tight shirt, most people are too impressed with his body to care that he sounds like a drugged caveman.

And to top it off, he is an arrogant prick. He thinks he is the shit and yes, for the next 14 minutes he might be but give him two more years and we will be cheering him on when he appears on Hollywood Squares sitting next to Whoopie.

If it flops or just does so so, he will be on Hollywood Squares in 2 years or working on B-movies with Jean Claude Van Damme. I don't think he's gay and it shouldn't matter nor should anyone care. His looks shouldn't be a big deal, because what is a face but a mask that can be removed or altered at anytime? And as for gay men liking him, why not? They should be allowed to like whomever they want, whenever they want at all times.

Well I have seen most of everything he has done with the exception of Chronicles, Strays, and Multi-Facial.

XXX - A silverback ape could have pulled this off and been more coherent.

F and F - Ok, he looked cool but it was mostly the car. Once again though, listening to him try to say his lines was about as bad as looking at Michelle Rodriguez' face.

Boiler Room - Bleh, Giovanni Ribisi was the star of this of course. Not much to say about Vin

Iron Giant - Well he is emotionless like a robot so the role fit fine.

Saving Private Ryan - This was a C- performance at best.

A man Apart - This role would have been much better suited if he were playing an inanimate object, like a vending machine because my vacuum has more emotions. If my vacuums wife had been killed , it would have been more sad than watching vin try to be sad. Then again it is a vacuum and always sad.

Pitch Black - His best work but only because he is more action and less talk. Vin should learn that talkie is bad. Bad talkie!

Knock Around Guys - Okay, now this movie just sucked but Vin got to hit people and slur out some lines about street fighting and what not.



Is that good enough? I just reviewd his crappy career. So yes, I can say he is a bad actor. The Black Dodge in F and F out acted him. I was more sad when that car got creamed than I would have been if he had been shot in the face by Johnny Tran(one can dream).

Now if Chronicles is any good I will admit to it but he better pull a rabbit out of his ass because it is going to take quite a bit to make up for the rest of his career.

I love The Diesel and much like Stallone he's getting a bad rap cause he has a deep voice. The man is an internal and physical actor and much like Sly did before him, he's able to convey the necessary emotions in a low key demeanor. Hey, I'd rather that than overacting. Here are my two cents:

XXX - Didn't care for the movie much but Diesel made it worth a watch with his imposing presence and macho cool attitute. I was also able to grasp everything that he said.

F and F - A shameless yet still entertaining Point Break rip off that had the Diesel Man crank up the charisma and the slick tough guy posturing to "BANG ON!". Again I was able to grasp everything that he said.

Boiler Room - Giovanni Ribisi was the star but Diesel stole the show every time he popped up. The sign of a presence to be reckoned with. And I was able to grasp everything that he said.

Iron Giant - Haven't seen it.

Saving Private Ryan - When Steven Spielberg casts an unknown on the strenght of a performance he did in a short...the man MUST have something. Spielberg is a veteran of the biz and is no fool.

This was a Grade A performance; again Vin's sheer charismatic presence stole the show; even from Tom Hawks. I was also able to grasp everything that he said.

A Man Apart - Vin did a great job here at conveying emotion (mostly rage) in an internal; manner. ADORED his performance even though the film was so-so. Underrated. I was also able to grasp everything that he said.

Pitch Black/Chronicles of Riddick - This is Diesel's "iconic" role. Arnold had The Terminator, Stallone had Rambo, Diesel has Riddick. Great action role where Diesel excelled on a physical and acting standpoint. I was also able to grasp everything that he said.

Knock Around Guys - Haven't seen it

Although lots of his films have been weak in my opinion, they all shared one positive element and that was VIN DIESEL himself. The man has charisma galore, an uderlying intensity, a strong focus and a dark edge that I dig. For everyone that loathes The Diesel, there's a guy like me that loves him. TO EACH HIS OWN!

I think Diesel has a GREAT screen presence. Can he act? Yes, I think so. He seems to have a limited range, but he rules in ass kicking roles.

Is he gay? I don't really get that vibe from him, but he IS super masculine. The kind of slick masculinism he has is pretty rare among hetero men, you find more of that kind of guys in gay community. Well, at least here in Finland. So I can see it being true.

But I don't care really. Even if he comes out as gay, I still think that he is a kick ass action star with plenty of presence.

Mentiroso you may say that you are joking but it looks like others are not liking it. As for my thoughts on Vin he's an awright actor. I liked him in Fast & Furious, XxX, Boiler Room and maybe just maybe Pitch Black. As for A Man A Apart & Knockaround Guys I am still deciding. :D
