I liked Shallow Hal too, I thought it was very funny and even dramatic at parts. It seems kinda like they're working up to making a very high-class film, like their earlier films like Kingpin and Dumb and Dumber were very goofy without a hint of drama in them, and then There's Something About Mary almost became a romantic comedy at the end instead of the goofy gross-out comedy it started out as. Me, Myself and Irene and Say It Isn't So were mostly comedy (well, at least that first one) but there was a little bit of drama in there if you look really hard. And then in Shallow Hal, almost the entire second half is dramatic. Maybe after a while they'll make something that's nominated for Best Picture?

I do enjoy their films if the material is good. I didn't like Dumb and Dumber, but I laughed at There's Something About Mary and Kingpin.

they are producing a movie called THE RINGER. It's slated to star Johnny Knoxville and be a 2003 release.
