Just in a script I read on Texas Chainsaw Massacre 5, but not sure if it was real or not, it is said he can talk but choices not to and the Leatherface on part 3 is the same from part 1 which was a dead give away from the leg brace wear he fell in the original and the chainsaw cut his leg up pretty good. The one of part 2 was probably someone who took Leatherface's place because it was said their whole generation was in a cult and like each place where a cannibalistic family is "established," all of them needs a Leatherface. The one on Part 2 died and if you tell me he survived that, allz I got to say that you need to watch TCM2 again. Part 4 sucked badly so I'm not getting involved in that one.

And to think, all these years of watching LEATHERFACE and I thought he had the brace from the explosion in PART 2. Shame on me!
Then again, I didn't pay that much attention, PART 2 bored me.

My apologies, I haven't seen the sequels.
For some reason, I want to see Veronica "Witches of Eastwick" Cartwright in the Marilyn Burns role of Sally getting revenge and ending it all. That would be cool and Chris Carter could direct. I also thought he was a half retarded psychopath with partial dementia. Almost every episode of "The X-Files" has nodes to this and other slasher films. The alien rebels for one.
