Britain's SUNDAY EXPRESS reports that Sigourney Weaver has signed a deal to play Ripley in an ALIEN 5. It will be set on Earth (Yipeeeeeeee!) and be released in 2004, 25 years after the original. Joss Whedon is being looked at to write the script.

Dammit! And I was halfway done with my Alien 5 script. Oh well, if it takes place on Earth, that makes room for mine to be part 6.

Alien 5 is dead with Sigourney Weaver (on Celebrity Deathmatch). No one is even thinking of making one.

That is a shame cos i thought that ALIEN 4 was quite good. It was definately on the right track of getting back the kick ass don't fuck with me feel of ALIENS, which was blatantly lost somewhere in the shite that was ALIEN 3.
