i was considering posting this on the screenwrting boards but i wanna write a real horror movie and i was just thinking that if a couple of us could go back and forth and just bullshit and maybe come up with something

I'm game. What kind of horror movie are you thinking of - slasher, zombie, vampire ... or a completely original concept?

i was thinking a zombie film, i got the idea from the people just bitching about how there was now new zombie films out there. what do you think?

Sounds good to me. Keeps it simple ... but not too simple. I wouldn't want to just do a NOTLD or "Dawn/Day of the Dead" retread. I'll let my mind percolate and check back later.

Urp. Just had a thought. The "Lucio Fulci" thread brought it to me. Why not something along the lines of "The Beyond" or "Gates of Hell" ... but with, you know, a plot and real characters?

One thing about a plot is you should try to hide the main character as much as possible. It seems like it works almost every time in a horror movie. Not like most slasher films where you can tell who is the main character halfway in and they usually live. I was thinking about this, how about one that has a plotline like Pulp Fiction where it skips in the timeline. It would be very hard to find the main character then.

If you guys write a slasher film, make it so that the leading character is a mystery to the characters and the audience. Sort of "Who's the one the villians after?"
