Yeah, Arrow's review made it sound like a "must see." What problems is it having and why?

The movie isn't released yet guys. Artisan don't know what to with it (cable, theatrical...what not). Shades of Ricky 6 here.

BTW: I just did a phone interview with one of the stars of the film Jonathan Jackson. It will be up next week. A very kool guy and by his performance in Skeletons, a great actor too.

Hope Artisan releases it soon so u guys can see it....

In answer to your questions, It's not playing anywhere because Artisan has not yet decided what to do with it. The only reason I was able to see it is that they had a screening in LA a while ago. I hope that it is released soon, so that alot of you have the chance to see it.

Quality-wise, it sounds solid. Is Artisan unsure about it because of its format, its subject matter, both, or other reasons?

I think its the format. The movie has been getting great reviews, has a solid script, kickarse acting and it's really involving.

Funny how the shit movies get released in the blink of an eye (Urban Legends comes to mind) but gems like this one or Ricky 6 get delayed...Hollywood is fucked!

Yeah, man. Hollywood's all about how slick something looks anymore. Remember the good ol' days when cheap-looking, grainy, but highly effective movies like "Texas Chain Saw Massacre" and "The Evil Dead" (not to mention a slew of $10 slasher flicks) could get wide-releases? Now they make slasher flicks that look like they cost $20 mil and have big-name stars.

"Valentine"? Gimme "My Bloody Valentine" any day of the week.
