Hey all, I think it's about time for Bruce Campbell to get suited up one last time and make a new Evil Dead film! Hail To The King Baby! Why is it that one of the greatest horror visions of all time sits in an oblivion? Army Of Darkness was really meant for a sequel, and it did do rather well at the box office! Sam Raimi has turned all interrest in the projest from his ear as possible . . . why?
I think that we should all get together and drop Mr. Raimi an e-mail and tell him how awesome a new Evil Dead film would be. As is, us fans are really screaming for it!

I think I can understand why Raimi or Bruce Campbell would avoid this sequel. HIGH EXPECTATIONS!!
Why would you make a movie, that could only be destined to be critizced for not living up to the originals?
I admit though that I would love to see an Evil Dead sequel in theaters badly.

Just thought you guys would like to know, I saw on a video game review site that Sam "the man" was using the Evil Dead video game as Evil Dead 4.

Ummmm....actually Army Of Darkness did not do very well at the theaters. That is the reason why you haven't seen really anything about a new film. AOD made a little bit of money, but not enough to merit a new film. I must admit that I owe a lot to the ED series. Evil Dead was the first film to get me seriously interested in horror. I've never seen an ED film at a theater, and I'm afraid that I never will.

Gore $ All, Ska Boy makes a good point, Army Of Darkness made little money in the theaters, but it, as it's predicesors ( which made little money on the big screen as well), have become cult classics. Sometimes, that is all that it takes, look at SCANNERS or THE HIDDEN to see my point.
A sequel for the EVIL DEAD series would be awesome . . . just that not enough people have told Raimi that.
Bruce has already said that he would do one more, why not let the people know that they would love to see one more survival horror from the team?
E - mail them, you never know, all.

I am only saying that if you look at the die-hard fans of horror what is usually their one constant saying..... "Sequels suck"
If the only people to watch an Evil Dead movie are horror fans then the movie would have to be really good for horror fans not to absolutely blast it. Why ruin a good series by making a movie that might be built up and then crushed by the very people who begged for it to come out.

Well said Gore 4 All. Besides I think Raimi is too busy with the Spiderman franchise now.

Actually, Danzig Misfit(good name, just don't mention the misfits to Danzig. uggghhhhh), Bruce "The Man" Campbell never expressed interest to doing another one. He felt that they should leave off with Army of Darkness. HE might have changed his mind, but him and Raimi both never wanted to do another.

Look all, I only have on thing to say to you all . . . usually sequals to horror movies do suck, but EVIL DEAD has just had a magic to it that makes people want to see more of it. I can't tell you if it is the wonderful continuity crossed with the cheezy story and effects or what. Maybe it is the magic of Bruce Campbell, but it is an enjoyable series and fan base can prove that! The only other series that is horror that I have seen have as much success as EVIL DEAD are A Nightmare On Elm Street, and Phantasm. One of the series I have just mentioned only really has kept up as a great series.
Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Sad thing is Bruce Campbell doesn't even really like horror movies. It doesn't surprise me he wouldn't want to do another "Evil Dead," what with his career tootling along at a nice, even keel. And Raimi's been working on "serious" flicks like "A Simple Plan" and "For the Love of the Game." I think that's the direction he wants his career to go.
Speaking of Raimi and Campbell, has anyone seen "Crimewave"? I taped it off Showtime many, many eons ago, watched it twice, and since then the tape has gone to the winds of time. Anybody know where I can get a copy?

WATCHMAN, what's up? You can pick up a copy of CRIMEWAVE at your local Block Buster Video. They will have to orde it, but it is worth picking up. as are most of Raimi's early works, those were the best, you know?

Marketing the film as an adventure yet having it be closer to a horror film is the key to making a big hit over 100 million bucks.

Kewl. I was under the impression "Crimewave" was out of print.
