I expected this movie to be all crappy and slow paced but i have to say that it was entertaining. I heard that the first half is ok, then its all downhill from there. I dont know if its worth $8.50 but definitely a rental. The first Urban Legend was straight up retarded, never liked it. But this was a totally different movie. Anycrap, i liked it.

I can't see whats so bad about it, i mean the killings fit the motive and the killer didnt go on and on about it. The killings were well done, maybe not well but ok. I mean i dont think it turned into just killing unneccessary sitting ducks like shitty ass Hollow Man. i dont know it was still ok.

I enjoyed it too. I thought it was good, it wasn't scary but it was entertaining. I liked the first one and the second one. I also liked the lesbian chick, she was very hot!
Anyway, maybe it wasn't too original but it wasn't a complete rip off. Plus, I liked the little surprise at the end, that was funny...
If you enjoyed the first one or even if you didn't, check this one out. I saw it in the theater and on video twice and I've had fun every time. But the first two times were the best. Anyway, ENJOY!!!

The one thing that bugs me and keeps me from giving it a positive rating is the ending.

***SPOILERS AHEAD***

Why make the killer of the movie someone who had a VERY tiny part. Shouldn't you even try to build up the character so that when he/she is revealed, the audience is surprised rather than pissed? I was almost screaming at my TV(yes, I waited for video) for serving us up this stemy pile of crap.
Scream did the ending well. It gave us two of the main characters of the movie, so that when we saw it unfold, not only could we actually guess the killer, but we could also give a crap about who it was. I was saddened(sort of) to see Stu as one of the killers, a character I very much enjoyed.
I Know What You Did Last Summer DID NOT do the ending well. The movie was built up as a whodunnit, but we were given someone who wasn't even in the movie before. And how(not to mention why?) would someone keep all those tabs on four people who have no idea what is going on and are no threat to you(as a killer) being caught. It's not like they could lead to your capture, dumbass! Or maybe he just liked to kill. Then why kill four people in particular when there are so many other dumbasses that should be killed. But I am straying away from the topic.
Urban Legends was a whodunnit. It asked you to guess the identity of the killer, but not even a psychic could guess this outcome. But something even worse than the identity is his motive. What the f***?!?! You never got to make your movie?!?! You never got your big break?!?! BIG F***ING DEAL!!!! I'll probably never get my big break. And the fact that he held a vengeance against the man whose vote caused him to lose was ridiculous! I'm going to kill everyone so I can steal someone who would have been a great director's work. Oh, and it just so happens that the daughter of the man I hold a vendetta against is going to this school and is trying to make a movie about urban legends, so you know what? I can kill everyone in the form of urban legends!!! It's perfect!!! Too bad Loretta Devine, who just so happens to know where everyone is at every moment, except for when a murder is taking place, shows up!!! And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for that meddling, annoying bitch! Come on.
I like the fact that he has a reason for killing each person, even though that reason is just plain dumb. He must kill anyone who worked on the movie so he can take it as his own. But one question, where are all the actors? Of all the murdered people, only two acted in the movie. How can there be only two actors in this entire film? Maybe there could have been, but I doubt it. There had to have been more than just the 7 or 8 people that worked on the film to kill. There had to have been more than that.
Also, a certain character is shot, apparently in the chest(very close to the heart), but is seen alive and moving five minutes later. Also, he is seen alive and well later on. I think that Hollywood is seriously underestimating the power of a gunshot. Not only would this guy probably not be able to live through a shot that close to so many vital organs, but he definitely wouldn't be able to get up five minutes later by himself. But, other than the ending, I enjoyed the film, except for the fact that everyone knew who would live five minutes in. But, because of the ending, I am forced to give this movie 4/10, just barely missing decency.

Your review was really funny retardinAz.
But I do have to say that the killer wasn't just killing the actors, but the whole crew. And the killer killed more than a couple of people who were on the crew. Maybe you should watch it again and pay more attention. And don't worry I'm not trying to be a jerk, I too was confused the first time I watched it. The second time I saw it it made more sense.

Anyway, I thought it was really good...

Mike, I think what retardinAz was saying is that of the people killed, only two were actors. What is up with that? How can there be only two actors in the entire movie? That's what he was saying. Good review retardinAz! Your even better than Joblo himself! JoBlo who? retardinAz. I'm gonna just call you poo, cuz you're the shit!

I think I get what you're saying, that if he was going to off the whole crew he would have had to kill all of the actors in the movie as well and he only killed two of them. I get it now, I never thought of that before, that makes sense. Thanks for pointing that out... I still liked the movie though... But good observing guys... Now I feel really stupid though!

Urban Legends...its not the worse recent slasher...but it still made no sense to me, and bored me...

however at least jennifer morrison was ten times better as a lead then the wooden alica witt from urban legend one...

I heard that Urban Legends really sucked in some of the reviews that I read. I rented it last week-end just because. I actually enjoyed it. It's not the greatest I've ever seen, but not as bad as I heard.

Not bad, but not too good either. Mediocre slasher flicks I'd say. But in a world with so many shitty slasher flicks their worth a watch.

I thought the first kill in the second one was pretty cool, other than that I thought is was a waist of my hard earned money
