Is Pin Head the bomb? YES! Does HELLRAISER have what it takes to continue to live in the horror halls? I really hope so, as Inferno did shock the hell out of me(No pun intended!). If you have not seen Inferno, then it would be unfair to try to ansdwer this question, so don't try to be hip, rent the movie and give an honest answer. I really do feel that HELLRAISER still has a little bit of life left in it if it follows in the footsteps of the last one, just do what most do; Improve on it. IT'S TIME FOR THE RESURECTION OF GOOD HORROR FILMS THAT ARE NOT ALL SUSPENSE THRILLERS!!!!!

Damn, DM, you are one "Hellraiser" freak. Not that that's a bad thing, but damn. To answer your question, yeah, I'd love to see more "Hellraisers" in the vein of "Inferno".
I'm getting a sense of deja vu.

Deja vu? Hey dude, I'm not really the HELLRAISER fan that you think, as I do love the films(Even part III), I am however a Clive Barker fan. I on the other hand hated Candyman3 and Raw Head Rex! What were they thinking? I just want to see Clive Barker crush the mediocre Stephan King like a bug! I do like Stephan King mind you, but Clive Barker is the true master of horror.
What, are you kidding?Ashley Laurence is coming back, and Inferno was good,I am dying for another film!Hellraiser:Hellseeker(as it's being called)is slated to begin shooting soon so it should be released late 2001/early 2002.

You guys are gonna think i've been living under a rock, but even though i am a major horror buff i haven't ever got around to seeing any of the HELLRAISERS all the way through! I remember when i was younger i watched a bit of the middle of HELLRAISER and thought it sucked. Then, a few years later, whilst on holiday we rented out HELLRAISER 2, and i fell asleep! And, about three years ago i watched the start of HELLRAISER 3 and thought it was really cool! But i can't remember why i didn't watch the whole of it! Anyway, cos you guys love them all so much, i'm gonna rent them all out and have a HELLRAISER MARATHON! Good idea?

Danzig - "The mediocre Stephen King?" Are you talking about SK movies or his fiction, because the one does not necessarily represent the other.
While King's a bit derivative, I think his characters are developed much better than Barker's. Barker always seems a bit flimsy with those whom he peoples his stories with, excepting "Sacrament."

Watchman, I do love horror in all forms, and of course I mean Stephan King in a film way. I must say, even though King is not my favorite, two of the scarriest books I ever readf were by him, thoser would be The Shining and The Dead Zone. I would be an idiot to say that King could not write.

Ladies and Gentlemen, some more news on HELLRAISER: HELLSEEKER is in. It appears that Skeet Ulrich will also be in this installment, and that the budget is going to be at least 10 million . . . the biggest budget for a HELLRAISER film period!!! It also appears that this one will be going to the theater period!
So far, as far as I know, Kirsty opens the box ON PURPOSE for a conversation with Mr. Doug Bradley himself. Kirsty is the only one to actuall escape the Cenobites, and Hell itself, giving her the power to actually destroy the Cenobites.
Of course she can be hurt though . . . by The Engineer, who is at war with Pin Head as well, since he was the most powerful Cenobite at one time, but PH found a way to bind him to Hell permanantly, or so he thought. On top of that, The Engineer will be played by none other than Sam Neil!!! Oh, hell yeah!!!
The things are, Skeet Ulrich plays as Ashley's boy friend, Pin Head and The Engineer are at war with each other, and Kirsty is the only one that can destroy the legacy of the Cenobites!!!
WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT!!!! Suck it all up while you can, gore fiends, as this will be the very LAST Hellraiser film, guaranteed! /ubb/frown.gif

Actually, this sounds like it's going to be pretty cool, Danzig. Do you know who'll be writing and directing?
Keep in mind, they called Hellraiser:Bloodline the last one, too. In the movie industry absolutely nothing is guranteed.

I liked Hellraiser.I thought Hellraiser 2 was okay.I hated 3 and 4.I was reluctant to rent Inferno, but it was a lot better than 3 and 4.So,i guess I wouldnt mind another one,so long it follows the lines of 1,2,and Inferno(in the sense they dont suck)

It is good to see Ashley Laurence reprise her role in the new Hellraiser film....

New info, Skeet has decided to end his small role in HELLRAISER stardom . . . a tear falls from all of our eyes!
It would have been really cool to see a new, fresh famous face in a smaller budget horror film.

Hellraiser 1 and 2 were great dark horror flicks, mainly cause of the cenobites(chatterer and butterball). Without them its really nothing. Pinhead is awesome but if he only has 3 minutes of screentime whats the point.

I think the Hellraiser series is really great, with the exception of Inferno. Inferno was one of those movies like the Blair Witch, where you either loved it or hated it. There is no in between....lol. but i really loved 1-3, Bloodlines was alright but not nearly up to the first 3. So i say if they bring back the old style of Hellraiser, then yea, bring it on. Take us to hell one more time!!!!

I read in Fango #200 that Clive was preparing to pen "one last Pinhead story." Could this be "Hellraiser 6"?

Look all, where I get my info is NONYA, I hate to put it that way, but I do honestly know a few people in the industry, especially where Clive Barker is concerned! I really cannot reveal where my info comes from on the fact that studios are constantly changing schedules and so on and so on . . . do you really think that Edward Furlong was the original thought of what John Connor should be? How about Brandon Lee for the role of Eric Draven in The Crow? If you do, you are so wrong . . . dead wrong. Actually Eric Draven was originally to be played by River Phoenix and the role of John Connor to be played by Elijah Wood, as the role was originally written for someone younger. I think that you should analyze the role of John before you judge me and tell me that you can't tell that it was written for someone younger . . . as you can already see, it was!
Just for info, George A Romero's BRUISER has been picked up by the almost defuncked Miramax entertainment. They are also picking up on APEX 2, The Crow:Salvation (?) (As it has sat on the shelf for two years), Heavy Metal 2001 (?), and TICKS II (Oh boy!). /ubb/frown.gif
And just so you all know . . . you like me, you really do, thanx for the flames!!!!

Frankly, after seeing how Miramax (mis)handled the franchise(since HR3), I don't have very high hopes for HR6... /ubb/frown.gif
But at least Ashley Laurence is coming back!
