Ok, now we all know that Halloween 8 is already planned, but does anybody know what is to be of this sequel?

Probably a very dark future.

Hmm... My guess for a sequel would be that it was a COPYCAT KILLER in H20. That would explain the whole chopping off of the head, how Michael returns thing. I also think Jaimie Lee will die before the credits since its rumored she only has a cameo role.

In a follow-up to recent word of Halloween 8 there's clarification from the project's executive producer, Moustapha Akkad on the project's current status. According to eSplatter, while attending last weekend's Fangoria convention in L.A., the producer revealed that at this time, Jamie Lee Curtis will only be making a cameo appearance in the eventual film.

Akkad is said to have dismissed talk that Curtis might star in the film, saying that she would only be on screen long enough to "find out what happens to her."

In addition, confirming previous speculation, Akkad revealed that it wasn't Michael who lost his head at the end of H20."

that was reported from cinescape. so no, it wasn't michael AT THE END of the movie. it was more than likely michael during the movie, just not at the end.

I think Halloween 8 will be a great movie as long a jamie lee curtis doesn't die. But then questions arise, if jamie lee curtis does live through halloween 8 will they make a halloween 9? I think Halloween 8 is going to be either one of the last movies or the last movie. The Halloween's aren't the same with Loomis in them. I thought Halloween H20 was good, but what if Halloween 8 is not?

WAIT a MINUTE! HOW? Wasn't his head totally
decapitated in H20? What could they possibly
do? Make his headless and bump into walls,
and slashing a knife at nothing? Whats more,
even at that, H20 seemed to have too many
holes in the story based on all the other of
the Halloween series, except 3. I hope they
don't rush through this film as they did with
6, although it was okay. Like i've jokingly
said before, maybe they could have that God
awful corney elevator music and make a porn
spoof and call it "MICHAEL NEEDS HEAD" which
can justify part 8. /ubb/biggrin.gif Seriously though, I can
only hope they plan this film thouroughly and
make a cool addition to the series.

tomj, Moustapha Akkad has already stated that it wasn't Michael that got decapitated at the end. Everyone says that it probably was a copycat killer. I think that at the end of H20, Michael put the costume on another person's body. Everyone also says that's dumb, and there's no way that could have happened. It doesn't tell us the exact time that Laurie and LL Cool J called the police, and the police actually get their lazy asses up there. (pigs) So Michael had plenty of time to switch the body.

I guess that WOULD make some sense. But what
gets me, if they thought it WAS Michael, WHY
on God's green earth, did they NOT uncover
that stupid mask to see his face? Even if a
sequel was planned, why didn't they just show
a different face and have em say, "Oh my GOD!
THIS isn't MICHAEL!" Makes you wonder.....

My prediction for this film is: 1. It will have a good opening weekend at the box office but quickly fall off, and will ultimately gross far less than H20. I'll say, $30 million at best. 2. Critics will NOT respond well to it, no matter what. Just the fact that another is being made will cause most critics to disregard it. 3. Fans will also Not respond well. Sure, there are going to be those who defend it, much like BW2, but most of the fans are going to regret any support they gave before seeing it. It will end up being mentioned in the the same sentences as H3 and H5. In short, it ain't gonna be pretty.

Ok, this whole Halloween 8 thing may have been believable had they left Halloween 6 intact, instead of letting it be cut and killed to the utter crap it now stands at.

Bear with me, as I am a new poster here, and my thoughts may have already been posted, if so, just forgive me

The whole thing about Michael changing places before Jamie Lee beheaded him, would be ok, a little 'huh?', but fine. If they had stuck with 6 as it was planned, they wouldn't need this lame-ass plot twist.

As I understood the series, Michael was protected one night out of a year from being killed by guns, knives, etc, by Thorn. I thought that when they beheaded him, and it was said to be the last, that the whole thing was gonna work like the Highlander thing... only be killed by losing the head. Now I hear all about Halloween 8... it makes me wonder... when are people gonna let a good horror movie rest? Freddy was scary until he started with the humor, yes it was funny. But it no longer makes him as scary. Jason was cool till it seemed that everything the first one said was untrue. Mrs Voorhees said Jason was her only child, now all of a sudden he as family all over the place? I dunno. I love horror, I always will go see the 8th the 10th and the 100th sequel, maybe it's fools like me who keeps the franchises going....

Halloween 8, hmmm Well all I can say they shouldn't go with todays slaser type stuff make it what it use to be a lot of a chases love them you know like in TCM near the end that big chase... and killings must be good...
Well H20 hmmmm Well there could be 2 ways to some up Michael not being dead...
1/ Michael "did" switch the body with someone else and that in the start of H8 she is in a clinic getting help after killing an innocent person and boom michael kills her!
2/ After killing Michael BEFORE HIS BODY is taken into the ambulance was all a dream she wakes up in her house realzing that "when" she choped off Michaels head off it was all a dream coz she was injuried real bad they put here under medication which caused her to dream about michaels death... And why not make it more interesting then have her in the hospital getting checked out and have michaels SO called dead body be in the same hospitla as her?? of course this would make the movie based a few days later after H20 well thats my view...

From what I've read about it. It will suck. Some kind of crap about a live webcat from the Myers home and that the killer in H20 wasn't Myers. I can't wait to hear them explain that. Jamie Lee Curtis will cameo, but most likely die in the first 10 minutes. It's obvious to me that they're trying to cash in on the success of H20 and milk it for all its worth. Sad.

This movie sounds like it will suck. Just the friggin title makes me fucking sick. They are mixing two things that dont go well. Cyber space and Micheal Myers. Now Im a regular fan of Halloween but I havent cared for the last few installments Im not expecting to love this one.
