Although it got mostly terrible reviews, I REALLY enjoyed this film! I thought it was very well done, and the acting was terrific.

Im sorry steve but I have to differ form you, I gave the movie a C+ ,It wasnt terrible but it wasnt great, I thought the movie was way to slowe and really didnt go in to as much depth as I wanted it to go, I guess I was expecting a little more on the gory pysco side, like seeing him do the actuall dismembering and stuff, I feel the books and news articles where more exciting than the movie. Now it wasnt all bad , it was interresting and I liked the acting and the way the characters where developed ,but when it ended it was like is it over all ready (?) I dont know I would say rent it and judge it yourself.

Haven't seen it but I think it is probably better made than Bundy. If they actually focus on trying to make Gein seem like a human being and stick true to how he really acted then it may work. If they have blood and guts killings just for the sake of exploitation then I wouldn't be too pleased. I usually like that, but in the case of real serial killers I think movies have to be handled differently. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Ed Gein was mediocre. It didn't delve deep enough into Ed's psyche. Railsback's performance is dead-on, but we're basically just watching a character try to act normal in public for 90 minutes. It's not engaging on an emotional level. In my eyes, Deranged is the superior Gein biopic.
