Okay, I just ordered the last Dario Argento movie that I haven't seen (Cat of Nine Tails) and I think that Dario should be brought up more in this board. I have seen EVERY single one of his movies, excluding the one I just bought, from Bird with the Crystal Plumage to the most recent, I Can't Sleep.

His use of light, color...it's constantly amazing to me. It also amazes me how he can actually personify death and sometimes (hard to believe) make it beautiful.

The man is a master. His directorial debut, the Bird with the Crystal Plumage was enough to give me a few sleepless nights.

Deep Red, Tenebre...both haunting and scary.

Suspiria...supernatural horror at its' BEST!

Phenomena is a weird ass movie, but man I think it's the scariest one, and the coolest one.

I recommend that any horror fan check out at least one of his movies, because, usually, there are so many levels to them that it is easy to find something that you enjoy in them.

For me, it's not so much the gore...but the camera work, style, and scares.

Keep 'em coming, Argento!

OK, I'll save evyone on this board some time and say this:
How can you just walk in here, completely new, after this website has been going on for over a year, with thousands of topics and many many pages of topics, look at the first page and say "How come they don't mention Dario Argento?" God, i hate it when people come in here and do that... we have had many topics on him and talk about him alot, as he IS a great horror director, and he is very looked up to and respected here. On the other hand, i do agree with you that he is a very talented director and makes awesome, creepy movies.

Well I wouldn't wait hours to look through the pages. Anyway,Argento is great. Argento even made me feel queasy in one scene in Phenomena.(the "dead pool" scene) I have Phenomena,Deep Red,and Inferno. I need to watch Inferno again because I didn't pay much attention. Argento is brilliant and I hope to get Opera,I Can't Sleep, and Tenebre.

Use the search feature, and search for Dario Argento, and you will see how much we talk about him.

Jesus Christ! I was just saying that I feel that his movies are of a slightly higher quality than the American horror films. I've been an observer for a while, I just haven't that much mention, but goddamn it, if you guys are just going to blast on me, then later.

No doubt dario is the amn. he is my fav director and the man who made me want to make movies. Suspiria, Deep red, tenebre, and Phenomena are all personal favs. Shit, even his weekest films, Trauma and Phantom of the Opera are at least decent. I am dying to see his new film. Shit, even his daughter, Asia, is a goddess!
