One of my all-time favorites - under the Comedy banner.
From the opening scene where a young Tommy slams into the sliding glass doors, to the final scene where Tommy claims losing his virginity to the daughter of one of the employees on the loading dock, Tommy Boy is one of the funniest movies I've ever scene. What's more, I own it and watch it annually laughing damn near equally as hard through each viewing - the comedy is timeless.
Although I do get a touch depressed at the thought of there being no more Chris Farley movies...
Anyway David Spade and Farley play off each other perfectly in this buddy flick, every single scene is a belly laugh, some will have you in tears...
"My god! What happened to your face!?"
"You can get a good look at a cow by sticking your head up a butcher's ass."
If you've seen the movie, these lines make a whole lot more sense...
The only downside to Tommy Boy is Rob Lowe - he seemed grossly out of place, brutally mis-cast.
Does anyone else hold this movie in as high esteem?
