The first movie I've seen in about a month and it really wasn't a good choice. I've got another set for the vcr tonight if I can stay awake so hopefully that one will be better.
"Suicide Kings" directed by Peter O'Fallon (I hadn't heard of him either) has a cast semi-full of recognizable names: Christopher Walken, Denis Leary, Jay Mohr, Sean Patrick Flannery, and yes even Elliot from "ET" fame.
A group of guys decide to kidnap a former mob boss to force him to help them recover a young woman who has been kidnapped. The mob boss, Walken, proceeds to screw with their minds while trying to save his life. The aim of the movie was apparently to be a dark comedy. It really didn't work on that scale.
Christopher Walken was his usual fun, eccentric self. Denis Leary kept me awake with his four letter words and stingray boot saga but other than those two gems, the movie drug through the meat of the picture. The resolution of the film was a bit of a twist and pretty fun but not worth the sit through the middle.
