If you liked writer/director Guy Ritchie's debut film "Lock, stock and two smoking barrels", you are going to like this one as well. It has a similar, very complicated story about lots of criminals running after a huge diamond. Great acting all around, clever script and astonishing visuals. I don't usually care much for this kind of MTV style of filmmaking but Ritchie uses his flashy visuals to make the drama more powerful; his visual style actually brings more substance to the story. The film is quite funny and also very violent. Acting is superb all around and Pitt once again proves that he is not just a pretty boy.
I would rate this film slightly above LTA2SB, but then again, I saw it in cinema and I watched LTA2BS on video. If you like funny, violent and pulpy crime films with lots of style and little substance, this film is just for you.
