It is also only 88 minutes long! This is looking like a stinker.

They must be cutting out alot of the film because the footage included in the trailer is definetly Restricted movie material...........Ive been really looking forward to this one......PG-13, for a Horror movie is definetly a death wish!

Would you considr The Others a horror movie? If so that was PG-13 too and it was awesome. If not, I can see what you mean.

No, The Others is more of a suspense/mystery thriller if anything.......
what are you talking about? The trailed does NOT have restricted material, the most violent thing it has is um.....a girl being pushed by an invisible something
thats PG material

No, I mean that the trailer shows glimpses/scenes that in my opinion would be in an R rated film, rotting ghost corpses....etc...

It says on imdb that 13 Ghosts is rated
PG-13 but about a month ago I saw that Windtalkers also had a PG-13 rating but now it has changed to R
So take the PG-13 rating with a grain of salt

Does anyone know why it's rated PG13? I can't find any info anywhere, and I'm kind of interested. Btw, IMDb is indeed wrong sometimes; Pearl Harbor was listed as R before it was released, and that obviously was not true.

IMDB was wrong with "A.I." too. First it was R then PG then they got it right.

I believe that originally PEARL HARBOR was R.
If it's PG-13 and 88 minutes my expectations are definately not as high, not that they were to begin with. I haven't seen the trailer yet but I was expecting it to be Rated R, if it's PG-13 it probably won't be as good.

Well, the IMDB still has it as PG-13 but I saw a commercial for it yesterday that said it was rated R. So the IMDB appears to be wrong again.

i know i also saw the comercial yesterday and it said it's rated R i was about to post this topic today.
weird... I posted the exact same topic in upcoming horror, with the exact same concerns.
Anyway, much to my relief and I'm sure a few others, it's Rated R.
I'd say that The Others is a supernatural horror movie, but it's an entirely different kind of movie than 13 Ghosts is trying to be. For 13 Ghosts to be successful it needs to be rated R. God knows we don't want another fiasco like The Haunting remake.

I actually don't mind because a PG-13 movie can still give ya chills and creep you out. I mean no horror movie scares me anymore, they do give me chills occasionally, even the PG-13 rated Supernatural films like "13 Ghosts" that have been popping up in recent years..."What Lies Beneath" (8/10), "The Haunting" (7/10), "The Sixth Sense" (9/10) and "The Others" (haven't seen)
But, it doesn't sound right that it's PG-13 because it's rated "18" in the UK which is obviously their equivalent to the US R-rating.
