I just rented this movie and was blown away at how great it was. The film, written directed by Boaz Yakin (also directed Remember The Titans)is one that shouldn't be missed. The plot revolves around a kid named Fresh and follows him on his day to day activities as a drug runner for two different dealers. He is also only 12 or 13 years old. Unlike other films about gangs and drugs like Boyz in The Hood and Menace II Society this film is seen through the eyes of a child. The actor who played Fresh is great in the way he portrays his character. When he doesn't talk in scenes you know what he is feeling from the expressions on his face. I don't want to give too much of the plot away but unlike the films I have already named Fresh plays out more like a thriller because of what the character of Fresh does to both of the drug dealers. Giancarlo Esposito is, as always, flawless. His portrayal of the drug dealer is very good as is Samuel L. Jackson's role of Fresh's alcholic father. I encourage everyone to go and rent this movie.
