Three Kings

This is a very sylized and darkly comic film. David O. Russell gave this film a style that is so original it will go down in history. It is shot in a gritty and yellow style that makes you feel you are right there with the soldiers in Iraq. The camera is shaky which also makes it look like a point-of-view shot. With the style and production value so high could the rest of movie reach the high standards? One word........................YES! This film had some amazing performances. George Clooney was very good and proved Clooney can do more than action. Mark Wahlberg is amazing. You really care about his character and the same with Ice Cube. Spike Jonze did good but I hated his character how annoying. The battle scenes looked great and they were fun to watch. So this film is hip,funny, and well-developed dark dramedy. A good film.

Here I though a movie about the Gulf war couldn't possibly work. Shows what I know.

One of my favorite films of 1999(my fav was American Beauty).This film had style,comedy,action and violence that also was a good depiction of the war in which we called "Desert Storm"

Clooney,Whalberg,Cube and Jonez all gave great performances

Possibly one of the orst movies I have ever seen in my life was Three Kings. It was so BORING, and helped me go to sleep better than a fuckin' lullaby!

Once i got used to the fact that this film was filmed like a pop video i really quite enjoted it - 7/10.

Three Kings deserves better than a 7/10 and no it wasn't a boring movie. I thought it was the best film of '99 and the best gulf war movie to date, at least in my opinion.
