Title: Blown Away
Plot: A Irish man(Jeff Bridges) on the Boston Bomb Squad is about to retire with his new wife and daughter but then a old foe(Tommy Lee Jones) comes back and starts bombing around the city and threatens the Irish man's life.
Review: This was a mediocre recycled action flick. The effects were cheap and it had tons of moments where a real person would have been injured or killed but after all the faults you come out feeling like you watched a fun action popcorn film. The acting was okay. Bridges who usually does great is a bit far-fetched here. You just don't sympathize with his character. Tommy Lee Jones is wonderfully whacky. He is great and ypu almost root for him. The rest of the cast is fine. The action sequences were a bit short and stupid except for when the bombs explode. This film is nerve-racking though. You are always on the edge of your seat. The final car sequence rocks. And so does the headphones scene. So overall you get a very unoriginal and cheap film but it is still fun. A great Saturday night flick but not a great buy DVD flick at all.
