STIR OF ECHOES
I loved this Film and it actually scared me.If you watch this film in some parts you will be scared like I was.Not for the fact that good pschologial/horror movies are supposed to scare you but this one was bone-chilling.Just watch the part when Kevin Bacon goes for the remote!
The story centers around Bacon who's a powerline worker and is not superstitous. Then one night he goes to a party and is persuaded to being hypnotized(which is genius). He receives messages from the other world(watch the movie)
The Film is haunting the whole way through. It's scary, funny in some parts and it was one of the best of it's year.
(9/10)

This movie was released about the same time as The Sixth Sense, and as such it didn't get nearly the press it should have. Few movies these days are genuinally scary, but his was one of them.

It was a good movie with a very good performance from Kevin Bacon. And an interesting ending. Personally, I don't think its as good as the sixth sense but then again, it is a very different movie than the sixth sense and comparing them irrevalent(sp?). It's interesting that you chose this movie because earlier on I giving my bashing on Friday the 13th. I look at Bacon now and in this movie and I'm thinking, man has he come a LONG way since Friday the 13th. Good for him.

This a quality thriller, I only wish there were more modern horror films like this instead they want to go with the over-used slashers. I will give Stir of Echoes a 8/10.

Good rating Ebert... this flick kicked "The Sixth Sense" ass. much, much better...
This movie was fucking GREAT. WAY better than The Sixth Sense, I think the wrong one was the blockbuster hit, Stir Of Echoes deserved better... Oh well, I know which one is the better one.
Grade: 9/10
By the way, Jennifer Morrison (UL2) was really good in this movie, I didn't even have to get to know her character in order to feel sorry for her, I felt very sorry for her, what happened was fucking horrible. Anyway, she gave a memorable performance. So did the rest of the cast. An excellent movie! I just watched this movie yesterday for the first time since it first came out... I've seen it twice and I liked it better the second time, even though I liked it both times...
It just sucks that The Sixth Sense is going to go down as a classic and this one won't, even though this is a much better movie...

I usually don't like Kevin Bacon in any movie, but I was impressed with him in this one. Stir was a lot better than Sixth...to bad it didn;t get the credit it deserved.
