THE IN CROWD wasn't "that" bad! It's main problem is it's PG-13 rating, it should've
been an "R", they could've done more with it. Of course it is still kind of wild for a PG-13, we get very nice breasts from Susan Ward (thank you) and a lesbian kiss (thanks
again). This movie could have been so much better, all it needed was the R rating and it
should have took a few lessons from Wild Things. This could have been such a fun and
wild time. But oh well, let's not focus on what it could have been, but what it is instead.
This movie reminds me of a daytime soap opera only wilder, it has rich good looking people,
mediocre acting, and a so-so plot. I wanted more sun and a little more fun from this
movie. And the so called "in crowd" are a bunch of losers, they are supposed to be cool
but most of them are immature morons that don't look cool at all. I thought they looked
and acted like dorks. The only one that stands out of the crowd is Susan Ward, she was a bitch and the most interesting character in the movie. I would've been her friend. Lori Heuring wasn't that bad either, I liked her, she was a little hottie. If this movie would've been given an R rating, a better script, and a better cast (other than Susan Ward and Lori Heuring), it could've been so much better and so much fun, instead it ends up being mediocre. Now don't get me wrong, it's not too bad, but it could have been so much more.
Here's a quick run down of the plot:
Adrien (Lori Heuring) is fresh out of the mental institution and takes a job for the summer at a country club. Brittany (Susan Ward) is one of a group of wealthy students who takes a liking to Adrien and introduces her into her social circle. But when Adrien gets to know Matt with whom Brittany is infatuated, she learns the hard way that the rich kids can quickly turn vengeful and deadly...
Believe me, the so called "in crowd" aren't deadly, they are just a bunch of losers that think they're cool... All in all the movie isn't completely horrible, but I've seen better...
Grade: 6.5/10
