There's no way in hell EON productions will EVER pick a yankee to play Bond when Brosnan retires. Bond will always be played by a Brit and there's no two ways about it. With that said, I would have to cast my vote for Ewan McGregor. He's a little young, but he's got the acting chops and the accent to pull it off quite capably.

Heard a strong industry rumor that they were in talks with Catherine Zeta Jones to be the next Bond, not 007, but another agent entirely. I believe it was her work in the Sean Connery flick that made them go after her.

Without a doubt Christan Bale, who would make an amazing James Bond! Guy Pierce would also be pretty good, but Christan's my first choice!

I think Sean Connery should come back and show them all how it's done. Sure he's older now, but he's still the man. If not then Christian Bale.

I actually heard a rumor that Connery was approached to play the villain in the next Bond picture, but turned it down. Back in the days when "Thunderball" was going to re-made yet again (it was re-made as the unofficial "Never Say Never Again" and starred Connery as the aging Bond) with updated effects and under the title "Warhead 2000" there were many rumors circulating that Connery's son Jason (not sure if first name is correct) Connery was in negotiations to play 007.
Bale is too smarmy to play Bond, he just has an ignorant tone of voice that i dislike, and is no way near suave enough to play James Bond.

Bond is playing polo but he is really trying to track a bomb by use of a special tracking polo stick designed by Q. Camilla is in the crowd distraction the paparazzi by picking her nose yet again. enter in the bad guy Armond Lassiter bomb assasin and on his arm Anna Nicole Smith playing herself. Armond sees odd play on the polo field and he whispers something to his flunkies. Meanwhile Bond locates the bomb and diffusses it this causes Armonds special bomb timer watch to malfunction, enter in his flunkies on horseback on the polo field. Guns are drawn on bond but the riders have been shot by Camilla. Armond sensing danger pulls down Anna Nicoles top and as the paparazzi crowds Armond escapes. Bond cannot find him escaping.....with determination in his eyes the screen fades to black for opening credits and song.
