From Hell will be awesome!

Last night I saw the commercial for the new movie From Hell for the first time, and it looks great. It somewhat has the feel of Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow, a movie which I enjoyed. Plus Johnny Depp and Heather Graham are in it, so this one could be pretty good. By the way, I don't know if it will do thatwell at the Box Office though. It seems a little too non-mainstream to be a huge hit. Unfortunately since it's rated R, I'll have to sneak into it or wait till the video. Damn!

Am I the only one who sees the similarties between From Hell and Sleep Hollow and The Ninth Gate? Not many specifics, but just thematic ones. Not that I'm raggin on From Hell, I think it's a badass looking movie, I'm just curious.

I'm pumped. The movie looks great in both period detail and in general. Johnny Depp is always worth watching, and Heather Graham hasn't really had a good role in a while. Looks very compelling, and I can't wait to hear what Trevor Jones does with the music (I love his music for "Dark City," "Last of the Mohicans," and "Kiss of Death"). I can't wait; I think the Hughes Bros. will do a good job with it.

Yeah Ender, the film definitely has a Sleepy Hollow/Ninth Gate aura to it. The Hugues Brothers sound familiar; what other films have they made?

I've been waiting for the ultimate Jack The Ripper film for a very long time, and this looks to be the closest to it.
The trailer i didn't much like though, the techno music spoiled the feel.

This with out a doubt looks like Sleepy Hollow 2, it even has the dark,moody look to it like Sleepy Hollow did. I think it will be good though. The Jack the Ripper theme is pretty mysterious and interesting.

I heard it was good up until the end. The ending, to say the least, is depressing.
