"Total Recall" (1990) Staring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sharon Stone. Direct by Paul Verhoven
The story of Dougles Quade, who is married to Sharon Stone. He relly wants to move to Mars but there has ben many problems on Mars. So he hears of Recall. They can plant a chip in your brian so you feel like you are on Mars. So he goes to them. Only one problem. They brainwash him. He has to go to Mars for real if he wants to get his memorey back.
The film has a very interesting story. It was very creative. The story of a man goind to Mars on a vacation was a wonderful idea. Arnold gives another great performence as Quade, a man with no memory of who he relly is. Verhoven is a great director and he puts tons of effort in the movie and it always works. A great film. I recomended it to any sci-fi fan.

This is a great piece of Sci-Fi action. It will always be one of my personal favorites. It's one of the first movies to deal with the whole let the audience decide what's real thing.

"Total Recall" 1990
8/10
Written by: a shitload of people
Directed by: Paul Verhoeven ("Basic Instinct")
Starring: Ah-nuld, Sharon Stone, Michael Ironside, Rachel Ticotin
Plot: Ah-nuld plays a construction worker on Earth who has been having repeat dreams about being on Mars with a mysterious woman. He visits a virtual memory store that promises to implant memories of a trip to Mars in which he is a secret agent. From here the film develops into a what the fuck is real kinda flick.
Review: An action blockbuster that isn't quite paint by numbers. Want a popcorn flick that at least pretends to have a plot beside the big explosions and corny one-liners? Total Recall delivers all of the above along with hookers (three breasted and midgets), mutants, plenty of blood, and plenty of the trademark Arnie grunts and moans.
Even though the film is over a decade old, the special effects hold up and are in my opinion better than a lot of the CGI shit we see today. The exploding lady's head would be a good instance. The makeup is a bit rough looking in parts, but give me a rubber mask over some computer shit any day of the week.
The acting? It's an action flick ;) Arnie just chucks out his one-liners ("Consider that a divorce.") and his grunts. Stone...well she fakes showing some flesh and does a lot of kick-boxing.
Well worth a look if you like watching things blow up....but want a little bit of reason behind the explosions. Or because you like guy and gal being chased....but you want to noodle on who the bad guy is...the chasers or the chasees.

I dig Verhoeven's stuff, RoboCop, Starship Troopers, Total Recall..very fun flicks. I thought Total Recall is his best. Can't wait to see what he has coming up next.

Total Recall really blew my mind and won't stop coming on TV! Great special effects, acting, and a storyline where it's impossible to get bored. So many twists and turns in this baby we may as well be watching an intricate maze.
