Batman and Robyn is by far the worst Batman film in the series. It has zero plot development, waaaaay too many bright colours (i mean, c'mon; Batman lives in GOTHAM, not Disneyland), and a bad choice to fill the Dark Knight's mask and cape. I mean, what were they thinking when they slapped that sweet-ass mask on Geogre Clooney? Alicia Silverstone was a poor chice for batgil too. She always looked like she was about to burst out laughing or something (can't blame her: look at the script). I liked parts of the story, but all the stuff with freezing Gothan using that huge beam of cold powered by diamonds, that was just gay. And when Robin and Batgirl unfroze the city, even more gayness. Oh yeah, Robin, well i guess he was kay. He is the same crap-o character from the last Batman movie, but he was still not that bad. And finally, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Once again, he makes a very, very bad choice in what to star in. First LAST ACTION HERO (6/10), and now this?? Whatever happened the man who wanted to kill Sarah Connor? Oh well. The effects were the best part in this film. They were really well done, especcially when Gothan was frozen-over then un-thawed again. Mr. Freeze's gun he used to freeze people was cool. The ffects were actually pretty cool in this film, and so was what Gothan looked like. I mean, not inside all those building with the neon pink and green lights flashing up a storn, but when Batman was chasing after Mr. Freeze in that ice-car, Gotham looked cool. Especially all those bigass staues all over the place.

Joel Schumacher proves in Batman and Robin what I only feared in Batman Forever that he sees the Batman franchise as a story of a swell looking guy who just happens to don a cape now and again.
In this fourth Batman outing the series was showing a certain fatigue. Keaton the first and best Batman had been admirably replaced by Val Kilmer. But the transistion to Clooney was less smooth. Clooney plays a certain type. The suave, dashing hero and that does not mesh well with the brooding, dark Batman.
But it was Schumacher's decision to replace the darkness of the more successful films with bright vivid colors that most harms the film.
Add to it a completely uneeded Alicia Silverstone and a totally camped up villian in Mr. Freeze and you've got a mess.

"You're not sending me to the cooler!"
OH MY GOD! I am a huge fan of the Batman series, (Batman Returns is one of my favorite movies) but this was AWFUL. I thought BATMAN FOREVER was entertaining, but I also feared the franchise was loosing it's edge. It seems like Joel is trying to turn the BATMAN movies back into the old TV show. Before we know it, signs that say BAM! and KAPOW! will start popping up, and old abandoned factories will have signs on them that say OLD ABANDONED FACTORY. Hopefully, YEAR ONE will return to it's roots. I don't see how they screw that one up...
BTW, I think i just jynxed us <sorry>

I would seriously like to shoot Joel Schumacher for killing the Batman franchise the way he did. I liked Batman Forever, it was fun and entertaining. But with this one, he went over the edge into disaster, and I know I'm not the only one who KNOWS this. Tim Burton got the series off to a great start with the dark setting of Gotham City, which is what Batman was supposed to be in the first place. Then Burton didn't do the next one, neither did Keaton and I thought "Forever" would be a disaster. Kilmer made a good transition into the role, and that was fine. Then comes the fourth, and final as of now, for the the series. I seriously waited for the dollar theaters to go see this one. It looked so bad, I wasn't going to waste my money that summer, and before my summer was over, I got to see it for cheap, so, that wasn't bad, but I hate Schumacher. Clooney didn't do well fitting into the role. The visuals were too flashy and LOUD, geeeez! Everything was wrong here, and when I first saw it, I remember thinking, "This is not a Batman movie, this is not a Batman movie." I have not watched it since, but I will regularly watch the first three, which aren't too bad. I still prefer Keaton; he is the real Batman. Always has been, always will be. I hate to be too frank, but THIS ONE SUCKED!

Batman & Robin(3/10)
You know, this is hands down the worst Batman film of the entire series. And I hate Joel Schumotherfucker for destroying the batman series, and sending it right to hell. If he had done it right, there would have been at least another Batman film by now, or maybe two.
The acting could have been better if it wasn't clouded with stupid dialogue. I thought George Clooney was a good choice to play The Dark Knight, but due to all the shit that was being thrown at him, he didn't do a great job.
As for the terminator, he was aight, but I didn't think he was the perfect choice as Mr.Freeze, I think Patrick Stewart would have been better.
Uma Thurman was perfect as Poison Ivy, but same thing goes for her like Clooney. And finally, Robin & Batgirl, there was no fucking need to have Batgirl in this film. She was fucking annoying. And Robin, you know, I liked Robin in Batman Forever, but this time around, I hated his guts.
Another thing, the script for this film just sucked major ass! Whoever wrote this awful script should be shot along with Schumotherfucker. And Schumotherfucker's direction was just fucking horrible! The entire film look like a fucking circus! It looked too motherfucking childish. Just looking at the film was as bad as looking at the Teletubbies or Barney.
This film just sucked! You know, I really hope Darren Aronofsky goes ahead with the Batman:Year One project. I really think he can bring back this series from the grave it's buried in. Damn! I will never forgive Schumotherfucker for this terrible film he made.
