the feature film debut of director Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones, proves to be one of my favorite comedies of all time. Even before the credits came up (at least on the SE dvd) shows just how quirky they are. The key word here is "quirky." The whole crew seems to be having a lot of fun, which is always great. This film is filled with many memorable scenes, such as the knights who say "Ni!", the bickering between a peasant and King Arthur and the Bridge of Doom. the movie never takes itself seriously, which is evident when cast members urge the movie to get on with it. Truly a classic of great British humor.

I would go about an 8/10, just because the good jokes are spaced out a little too far apart. I did see it twice within a three day period because I had so much fun. Not as original as their Life of Brian, but it exceeds that in sheer belly laughs and I laughed quite a bit. Life of Brian was more clever jokes that you just chuckle at their brilliance. I'd rate them the same.

If you would've used the search button on the top left side of the forum page, and searched for other reviews of this same movie, you would've found that I did my own little capsule of it. Check out my review and the comments of a few others, and try not to always start a new thread when there are other threads of the same movie. It makes for more discussion, and not so many repeats.
