I just saw this for the second time and I gotta tell you, it stroke me a lot more than I remembered. It's one of John Landis' better movies, and I can't really remember him having made a single decent film in ages. The script by Landis and co-star Dan Aykroyd is funny as hell, and the music is awesome. John Belushi acts great, and both stars show great comedic talent.
There are lots and lots of legendary musician appearing in a cameo like James Brown, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin, and it's worth seeing for the music alone.
And let's not forget about the legendary car crashing scenes, I couldn't stop laughing.John Candy is hilarious in his small role, and it's great to watch these people while they were still on the peak of their careers. Also, check out the ending, where Steven Spielberg also appears in a cameo.
