Castaway and FedEx

Is this movie truly about a FedEx employee, or about a castaway and a major product placement? When I left the theatre, I felt as if I had just seen a 2.5 hour infomercial. Does anybody else feel this way? Was FedEx just lucky to be so favorably highlighted?

Dont't worry, i felt exactly the same way when i left the cinema. All you see in that film is Fed Ex Fed Ex Fed bloody Ex.

The only thing I remember about this movie is that with one and a half hour filled with just Tom Hanks, they took the movie's title much too serious! The rest just ran away scared for all the critics that were coming their way.
