Apple has a streaming audio version of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack online. The address is at theonering.net.

Personally, I think the soundtrack is great. Sets the tone and the atmosphere exactly like I picture it to be.

This movie is only getting better and better (atleast to me).

Yeah, I have listened to it a couple of times. It's a very good soundtrack. Most of it is standard, well-made film music, that should effectively accompany the images, but doesn't really stand on it's own. But there are a few tracks that stand out and are quite memorable.

I've heard three or four parts of the soundtrack and it does seem pretty amazing. It's one thing that really makes me want to see the movie.

By the way...Who's the composer of the LOTR soundtrack?

Oh, wait...Isn't it a guy named Howard Shore? Yeah, something like that, now I remember. What'd that guy do before?

Tons; he's mostly known for his work with David Cronenberg and Jonathan Demme.

His scores include:
The Score
The Silence of the Lambs
eXistenZ
Se7en
Philadelphia
The Cell
Ed Wood

...and a lot more I can't think of.

The first time I read the Lord of the Rings series, I was stuck on Led Zepplin. (?) Anyway, I still have their music stuck in my head for this movie. I cannot wait to see it and hear the music that they selected for it.
