Tony is a successful architect, ready to be married. Sherriff is a devil-may-care limo driver. Two years prior, they had been in Malaysia living the high life with a third buddy, Lewis. Lewis stayed on to continue their hedonistic lifestyle. His long-lost buddies don't know, however, that he is in prison, sentenced to die because of them. If a lawyer can persuade Tony and Sherriff to return to Malaysia and serve 3 years in the same prison, Lewis' life will be spared. Will they sacrifice that portion of their lives to save the life of a friend?

Holy good God, is this a great film! If you havent already seen it, trust me, it definately deserves a rent. Its a great portrayal of what freindship is all about and making sacrifices for people we love and care for. After you see this film, you will look at life a different way.

Return tp Paradise 10/10

it's not so bad,but 10/10.some scenes weren't all that interesting.average acting from the cast.the best scenes are the ones with phoenix in the prison. It's especially cuz of the average story that i give this movie 6/10.

A solid film! Although Vaughn's character was a prick for quite awhile and it was hard to like him. If I was in the situation, I would have went back in a heartbeat. I couldn't let someone get killed over something that I was involved in. I'd definitely accept my share of the responsibility, especially if it was a friend.

Anyway, it's too bad this one didn't do better in theaters. It's pretty underrated. I though David Conrad (NBC's Miss Match) and Anne Heche gave good performances. Vince Vaughn was good too, but since I didn't like his character, it's kind of hard to praise him.

If you are one of the many people that missed this one, I'd recommend checking it out.

Grade: 7/10 (B)

SPOILERS

The Jada Pinkett-Smith character was unnessecary and letting Vaughn and Heche fall in love was too cliché, but it was quite an impressive film.
