Well, the new rating system is now official for all of my reviews. The basic idea is still pretty much the same, only I've gotten rid of the 0.5's and tried to make it a little more representative of the entire spectrum within the 1-10 scale, and a little easier to follow.
I personally wasn't a MAJOR fan of my old rating system, although they did make sense in my mind, and some of the newbies and schmoes had also expressed the need for a revamp, so why not...a change was in order.
Of course, I've gone through all of my old reviews and tried to update them as best I could, and will be working by these ratings in the future as well.
NOTE: These are the basic ideas behind each rating, but I will only be writing the score on all of my reviews from now on. The idea is that an 8 is a better film than a 7, and a 4 is better than a 3, etc, etc...get it? /ubb/smile.gif
The descriptions below are just a guide that I personally use to (more or less) identify each score.
10: Classic
9: Awesome
8: Great
7: Good
6: So-so
5: Wait for video
4: Not good
3: This movie sucks
2: Crap on stick
0-1: Pure Garbage
