Mr.Blo closing topics willy nilly?

I know, Mr.Blo has a job to do, and this unfortuantely includes having to close those pointless topics. But i hear quite often with such other users as V Dude, that they believe he closes topics whenever he pleases. Now i wanted to get this out into the open as these two users believe Mr.Blo's "system" is a bad one and that he closes down topics with no valid reasons. I wish to express that he is not doing a bad job. He closes the pointless one's, and if a post has had its time in the lime light and starts withering away, he will put it out of its misery.
I just wanted know what Mr.Blo and the schmoes think about all of this.

He can do whatever he wants, i am not bothered by it, he hasn't done it to any of mine unless he needed to. In order to keep and organised chat he needs to do it really.

I think Joblo is doing a very good job and should keep it up. he is just trying to keep the peace. Sometimes i feel he does close some posts early but he cannot keep everybody happy and why should he its his board he can do whatever the hell he likes.

i do apologise to AK, i seemed to have misinterpreted what he and i were discussing.
As he has explained to me what he meant, he seems to have a valid point, and is hereby unessecary for this topic, and does not believe what i have claimed. All my apologies /ubb/frown.gif

Nice topic, although, and this is the reason I do MOVE certain topics to other forums, this doesn't really belong on this forum, duder. You see, this forum is for RANT, RANT, RANTS about the movie industry (as per its description), and the new SUGGESTIONS/FEEDBACK forum is exactly about this type of thing (Note: I DID move this post after this response... /ubb/smile.gif.

I'm glad you did bring it up though, cause I do sometimes get the feeling that some of you think I'm "too harsh" on the boards, but I'd like to hear more opinions. Nobody above seems to think so, and V Dude, I know you're just kidding cause the only topic that I ever closed on you was the one in which you were basically knocking another member, right?

Also, I try to ALWAYS point out why I close any topic. Generally, it's because it has reached a 100 posts and it's just easier to start a new one, so that more folks could get in on the convo.

I rarely DELETE topics, and when I do that, it's generally because it's an innappropriate post for our board (like someone plugging their "hair products" or someone bitching about someone else on the site, etc...). Even then, I will send an email to the person who erred with the post.

It ain't easy pleasing 1000 DIFFERENT people at the same time, I'll tell you that much, but overall, I hope that most people are pleased.

Any other feedback?

PS: BTW, I'd decided that I will in fact close this topic here and move it to the SUGGESTIONS/FEEDBACK forum instead. Makes more sense, I think...
