I have to say that I'm not hugely impressed by these AOTC trailers. They make the film look like a lot of fun, but it looks more like a good film, not like a great one. The thing is that acting and dialogue seem adequate at best, and the visuals are a mish-mash of stuff we have already seen a lot. Mind you, the film does look a lot better visually than Phantom Menace. PM had the same, rather boring and flat visual approach all the way through, but AOTC seems to be playing a bit more with different light and atmospheres. The problem with the world created in PM was that it felt like a big set with CGI in it. I never BELIEVED in the existence of that world, it didn't feel real. I think that AOTC is going to suffer from the same thing, it looks a bit too artificial. But it does look like an improvement to PM.

I think the third teaser is definitely the best, but I still think that the acting looks terrible. Anakin's lines seem ridiculous, and Obi Wan looks like an idiot. Oh well, I'll see the movie anyway because the action looks great.

MARKETING OVERHYPE. George Lucas needs to learn how to pace himself, and spread these things out.
I'm going to watch the trailer, but seeing as how I was completely unimpressed with the first two, my hopes aren't high for this one.

This one RULED.
Some of the acting wasn't exactly "great", but this one looks like a fun, action packed movie. And that's what STAR WARS is all about.
Though, I loved TPM too. This one looks better.
ALSO, I think that was Jar Jar in one of the beginning scenes. If it is... DAMN. He actually looks mature. It's probably the robe.

I was also highly impressed with the trailer, by far the best of the three.
I especially like the glimpses of Anakin's anger, his leanings toward the dark side.
Like Tuukka mentioned, the visuals looked, yet again dull, although still pretty fantastic in their own right.
Acting looked stiff and non-expressive, although Hayden Christensen does look good in the part.
Some excellent looking action between Obi Wan and Jango Fett.
Impressive, most impressive.

But take away the Star Wars name, and all of a sudden it isnt so impressive anymore, now is it??

UGH, UGH, UGH! This is one of the worst trailers of the year! This movie looks like complete shit! I don't know what's happened to poor old Georgey..the only thing that I can think of is that he has grown enormously senile and doesn't remember how good films are made.
The trailer was pathetic...the dialogue was putrid..the actors are obviously DEAD and are being held up by Georgey and CO. (like Weekend at Bernie's..which is looking remarkably more like Star Wars...). Does Hayden Christensen really have to act THAT bad in it? He talks like Ryan Phillipe...while slowly pronouncing every word.(m'lady? George, if you want to shoot yourself for ever making anyone say "m'lady", I will supply you with ammunition and a gun)I shouldn't be so hard on Hayden Christensen...after all, one-day-he-will-be-the-most-powerful-Jedi-ever-and-know-what-I-did-last-Summer. The action was subpar...all I saw was a few lazers being shot, some lighsabers cracklin', and Ewan Mcgregor hanging onto some weird thing for his life...although after hearing the what the title is, AND seeing the trailer...he may have wished he would have just let go...

Good points: CG looks a step up from Phantom Menace, Natalie Portman looks cool in some scenes, action scenes look like fun.
Bad points: Hayden Christian's acting in this trailer is some of the worst I have seen all year, and he is not helped by unnatural dialogue. Really. No, REALLY. I just watched it again and actually felt embarrassed for the guy. Is Lucas actually getting _worse_ at directing actors?
I have a feeling that if you liked The Phantom Menace, you're going to like Attack of the Clones. Unfortunately, I did not like The Phantom Menace.

I thought it was impresseive, regardless of the Star Wars name.
I still think it will only be a good film though. Lucas' visuals are hardly enough to keep me interested.
The acting again seems stiff and that piece of awful dialogue - "Haven't you grown" was embarrassing.
I liked the trailer so much cause we finally get a real glimpse of Anakin turning to the dark side, and i loved that shot of him on the speeder, contemplating his future.
The romance - blah!
The action - Looks, yet again, very good.

There are people who would disagree. I can't count the number of people who said that the movie wasn't that graet, but since it was Star Wars, they loved it.
Anyway, back to the trailer: now that's more like it! Okay, the dialogue was a little off-kilter, but Hayden Christensen looks like he can actually act. The whole idea that a Jedi/Senator can't be knocking boots has a nice feel to it story-wise. I liked this trailer, and it was by far the best of the three.
P.S - My personal feeling is that the Star Wars name has little to do with it, cause I disliked The Phantom Menace, so the "name" didn't manipulate me into liking it.

.........Im sure it didnt. Just like the fact that A.I. was SUPPOSED to be directed by Kubrick and wasnt - that didnt make people not like the film. No, no.

This trailer was the best by far, being a Star Wars junkie, I can't help but be swooned by it.
Two notes:
1. Boba Fett(or at least his predecessors) who in books have been getting major props forever, is going to get it in this movie. The rest of the movie, ironically...looks like a Phantom Menace Clone, but I will go see it to check out the Mandalorian scenes alone.
2. The Princess sets many fashion trends, the newest/golden oldie in this one seems to be the horizontal hairbuns, made famous by Leia Organa in 1977.

I thought A.I was an utterly superb film.

The trailer gave me the chills, just like the first trailer. The last 20 seconds or so, with "Duel of the Fates" playing, were extraordinary to watch.
The dialogue was ultra-hokey and I can't believe Lucas didn't have someone help him with the script before he went through with making the movie.
This, however, does not steer me away from seeing the movie. I will most definitely see it opening day, I just hope that the bad dialogue came out like it did because of the trailer editing. Lucas is a terrible screenwriter in his old age. Even McGregor sounded bad. Lets cross our fingers and hope for a miracle.

A.I. is one of my favorite films of all time, and if you can believe it; I prefer it to A Clockwork Orange, and Full Metal Jacket. I thought it was great. I was merely stating that some people didnt like the movie because it wasnt done by Kubrick and he had intended to do it. Everyone ak,......which is not just you.
Hang on, i'm confused - Is that everyone, or just some people that didn't like A.I? Or am i completely confused, cause A.I got great reviews here in the U.K, and a majority of very good reviews in the U.S (Even those who didn't exactly love the film, thought it was decent).
I may be missing your point......

I thought A.I. was pure shit on film, so don't drag me into this argument.
I've read reviews of Episode I that were good, and I quote, "because it squeaks by on its own virtue." Meaning, if it wasn't a Star Wars film, they would have blasted it, but because it was, they went a little easier on it.

You know, thousands upon thousands of people that are NOT american don't really know what Star Wars is. For most of my friends, Episode I was the first Star Wars they saw. As well as for many other people I know, including adults. They all seemed to like it.
The reputation thing only applies in the U.S... and not that much.

this trailer was awesome!!!
I can't imagine how gorgeous it must be on big screen!!!!!
I think that he chemistry between Hayden nad Natalie is just gorgeous!! There's a great interaction between them!! you can sense that they REALLY care for each other and that they enjoy each other company. The pic nic scene seems very natural, they don't seem to act, and that's good!!
Well, the best shot is probably this one:

January 18. Which also happens to be my birthday. Looks like I'm gonna get some Ewan McGregor and Josh Hartnett action as a birthday present ::drools::
Holy blue! Is that Mace Windu's head Anakin is about to lop off?
Actually, BHD is opening limited on December 28 to qualify for this year's Oscars. The studio is very, very high on it. If you live in NY/LA you'll be lucky enough to catch it in December.

I just saw the third trailer of starwar "forbidden love".
I just readed this message board reaction to the trailer.
And I now firmly believe that some poeple writhing here are directly paid by George Lucas.
Lucas is laughing at us.
This most hurt to laught that most.
Honestly are you blind to the point that you cannot see how those actor suck, and they just don't just suck, but they SUCK with a S bigger than Godzilla.
This is no starwar but a lame SITCOM.
I have seen Startreck episode so far better than this lame preview. this is a cheap romance rip off of so many lame overused plot twist.
everything look so fake.
And there is all those dark futurist city footage stolen directly from Blade Runner.
The space ship look like chrome imitation of Flash Gordon rocket!
And naturally George screw up again the star-war storyline by is total lack of imagination.
open your eyes, have some sense of critic, read book, get some cinematographic culture, boycut this movie that take us for idiotic morrons.
thank you, have a nice day.
