I've got this assignment in my Management Theory class to interview a manager and I thought I could interview Joblo since he has this huge fantastic website that he's the big boss of. I sent you an e-mail yesterday regarding this but I figure this could be easier for you. Here are the questions(The teacher's questions, not mine):
1. Please tell me about your company.
-What does your company do?
-Who are your biggest competitors? What are your biggest advantages over these companies?
-How do you describe the industry environment in which your company operates?
-Overall, what would you say is the biggest challenge your company faces today?
2. Please tell me a little about yourself?
-What are your major responsibilities? What do you like doing the most, the least?
-What kind and how many employees report directly to you? (For example, do you supervise managers or front line employees?) In all, how many people are under your position on your company organizational chart?
-What special skills and talents did you bring to your present job?
-What experiences did you have before starting your job?
-Overall, what is the biggest challenge you face as a manager today? (What is the hardest part of your job?)
3. Finally, I'd like to ask you for some advice.
-When you interview people to work for your company, what kinds of skills and abilities do you look for?
-Are there additional skills that are required if I want to be a manager?
-What is the best way to acquire these skills?
-What should I concentrate on the most while I am in school?
Those are the questions my teacher wants us to ask a manager. I probably would ask you something like how do make profit and analyze profit in your business, and how do you deal with business law and ethics in your business, but I'm not my teacher. Your answers will be most helpful. And remember that if you don't think you're a manager, you do manage the Arrow, Joey Baloney, and all the other moderators. /ubb/smile.gif
