Because I find this website to be so well organized and fun, I wonder what it's like to run this website? How does the business make money? I'm curious.

Good question. Sadly, our site isn't making any money right now ( see /ubb/Forum14/HTML/000031.html ), but last year, we actually generated some revenues from banner ads, which are those banners which you see on top of all of our pages. The more people came to our site, the more revenues we put together.

Unfortunately, the whole "Internet ad game" has gone to shits this year, so even though we get about 10 times as many people visiting our pages this year, we BARELY make enough dough to cover our essentials (which is why you see a lot of other sites going under-- we're all stuck in the same boat).

So basically, we are all now waiting for the industry to replenish itself after the shake-down, or figure out other ways to generate moolah as things stand now. Basically...it's not as fun as it used to be... /ubb/wink.gif

You'll do ok JoBlo, just sit back close your eyes, hope for the best and open them in a years time and you'll see that the website will be booming once again /ubb/smile.gif
Either that or it'll totally go belly up, either way, closing your eyes is the best option!

I don't understand why companies like Minute Maid or Pepsi don't advertise at open sites like this? Everyone needs to eat and drink.
